”Wonderful staff across the board! Good liquor and bartenders, nice beach, food was great at all locations. AC was great, room was quiet, good bed, linens, towels, . I did miss a lighted alarm clock but maybe I didn’t need to know what time it was ….”

”Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart...

”This is a basic hotel. The rooms are a bit outdated, but the staff is nice. The pool is small with only four lounge chairs. You will need to walk to get to the beach - this hotel has a dock only. ”

”Robert and Carlos were warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, the AC cold, and decor was nice. I felt like I was truly in Mexico, instead of a bland hotel. Nina, the dog is very cute! It was a peaceful retreat from the noise and bustle of Playa Norte. I also cannot say enough good things about the pool, gorgeous view!”

”While the room itself was nice....the location is terrible. There is a view of the ocean, but it's across the street...so it's an ocean view but not ocean front. There is a gas station right beside the room...constant lines of traffic. there is a speed bump right in front, so all vehicles slow down. Two bright street lights shining into the room all night. I would certainly not recommend and def would not stay there again.”

”Really loud hotel, the main road is loud and with the lack of insulation, you can hear every single golf cart, scooter and music coming from the restaurants. Some restaurant was playing music until 2am and even with noice cancelling headphones, sleeping was difficult. Otherwise quite clean hotel, friendly staff who knows english. ”

”Beautiful room with everything you need (fridge, coffee maker, soaps, TV with Netflix log in). WiFi was good. There were both a ceiling fan and AC. They offer beach towels, but don't have very many, so make sure you ask early or bring your own. All in all the room was very comfortable. Location is good, 10 mins walk to the North beach and 3 min walk from the main street. 3 mins to the ferry terminal. The staff was polite enough, but not very friendly. We felt like we were an annoyance to them,...

”This condo was amazing! It was spotless and had everything we needed plus some. The staff on the property was so kind. The beds were super comfortable and the views are to die for!!! We will 100% be back!”

”Staff at the property were lovely! You sort of get what you pay for, it’s nice they’ve made the effort to modernise the property but you can tell it’s still a little worn. But as mentioned you get what you pay for. One down side was the water ran really low on our last night, only to wake up the following morning with the toilet not flushing and no water coming out of any taps. I had to use a water bottle to get water out of the pool so the toilet would flush. ”

”Staff was friendly is the only thing going for this hotel. Sheets were filthy Bathroom was covered in mold Walls were paper thin and one could hear everything going on in other rooms and I am not a light sleeper. I wasn’t expecting anything spectacular-but this did not even meet basic 1star experience. ”

”The location of this hotel was great, right by the sea, but the hotel room could have been better. We were on the ground floor, I am sure the top floors with balcony are better. A bit damp, dark in the room, cannot recommend it. Nice pool area by the sea. Personnel was not very helpful and friendly unfortunately A big minus was the WiFi, which only worked in the reception area (outdoors), not in the rooms!! ”
