Hostellit – Edinburgh

”Yövyimme yhden yön kaverin kanssa. Iso hostelli, mukavat sängyt ja todella siistit yhteiset keittiötilat. Henkilökunta töykeähköä, lähtöpäivän matkatavarasäilytyksen kanssa ongelmia (yrittivät pyytää rahaa rinkkojen säilytyksestä, koska emme yöpyneet enää seuraavaa yötä hostellissa). Hyvä Wifi.”

”Very good location. Easy to reach all major sights on foot from here. Staff helpful and very friendly. Room is hot but fan helped a lot. Good option for budget travellers who need place to stay without any services but don’t wanna stay in traditional hostels. ”

”We arrived a day later than originally planned due to an airline strike. We had informed the hostel a couple of days in advance by both phone and email, but when we got there, our reservation wasn’t in the system, even though it had already been paid for. Because of that, we had to wait at the reception for about an hour while the staff sorted things out with Hotels.com. In the end, we did get a room, which was overall in decent condition and clean. Big thumbs up for the bathroom and shower,...

”Well positioned, clean, friendly staff. We stayed for one night in a private room, well worth the price.”

”Our lockers in the room didn’t work, so we had to sleep with one of our bags. The temperature of the room was unbearable to sleep in with no fans.”

”Comfortable walk ro Princess Street, Castle , shops, pubs etc There is a bus stop right outside the door if walking is not an option The one suggestion I would make is for guests to bring eye madks, as the curtains are very thin and the outside street lights shine right into the bedrooms facing the front street Kitchen is very well equipped, showers have good water pressure, lots of hot water, ”

”Staff was friendly and overall experience very nice. It was me with two teenagers and private room. Very basic, just as described. The shower was the only minus, because as it was attached to the roof, it was very difficult to wash downstairs. Good place to stay when viditing around Scotland. Would go again! Hotels.com says you can pay arriving but that is not the case. I got a message from hostel that i need to pay forward.”

”J'ai aimé mon expérience, bien situé. L'ambiance était super. Ma chambre était propre et belle. Mais les douches communes étaient un peu bancale,drôle d'odeur. J'étais la juste une journée ça ne m'a pas dérangé mais si c'était un long séjour j'aurai été deplue. Aussi ma chambre annonçait un bain et des toilettes. Non c'était des salles de bains commune et pas de bain. Peu être que ça c'est perdu dans la traduction....”

”Clean room, great staffs, kitchen was clean. Location was good right at the west end. However, there was no elevator. People travelling with luggage’s is really difficult to carry them through the endless staircases to reach to the room. I would highly recommend all the hosteling Scotland's should have lift/elevator at least. Thanks”
