”Room was clean and staff friendly. TV only had 2 channels that worked and when you flush the toilet the bedroom walls shook as if something was going to errupt from within. Breakfast was a disapointment and not worth. It was meant to serve until 10:30 but at 9am it was like locusts had attacked. Whilst hot food did eventually get restocked the pastries etc didnt. ”

” Stayed 31 Oct–1 Nov 2025 at Any One Apartments (booked via Hotels.com). The experience was disappointing from arrival: waited ~15 minutes outside due to lack of staff support and found access confusing with multiple locks. The listing was misleading—what I expected to be a self-contained apartment had key facilities (sofas/TV) in a communal area, and the room itself was very small. The shower was lukewarm and the holder broken, so it had to be handheld. The bed was too small for a 6-ft adult....

” At check-in, Neil on reception was rude and dismissive. He even threw our key card across the desk rather than handing it to us, which was not a welcoming start to our stay. The room was generally clean, although there was hair on the bathroom wall, which was disappointing. Both the bedroom and hallway had a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke, which I assume dates back to when smoking was permitted in the hotel. ”The room was basic but very clean. Only downsie was that somebody had forgotten to empy the bin in the room before I got there and I had to ask for the heating to be put on as the 1st night was very cold, it did go on late in the evening on the 2nd night so all goo, but overall nice place, spot on staff and will stay again! ”

”Good location. Lovely design to the room. Huge and comfortable bed… nice view of the Tyne… nice details like free soft drinks in the mini-bar… We were very happy.”

”Great location, affordable apartment for a large group. Metro link directly outside the door to connect you to Newcastle. Apartment in great condition and would recommend this place. Check in was difficult as you need to communicate with host over phone to retrieve the code to access the key but apart from that it was great. Security deposit usually scares me from booking with places as i have been scammed before but rest assured there is no scamming here, with the host very kind when spoke...

”Very spacious room. Bed could have been a little more comfortable but was adequate. Close to many walkable sites. The room access cards kept failing once or twice a day which was annoying but all the staff were helpful and friendly. Laundry was a pain as it was very expensive and had to be provided to them by 8am if you wanted it back the same day. We took an Uber to a coin laundry and it took an hour and was cheaper including the cost of the Uber there and back”
