”The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late.

A mixture of old and new & my room(in the garden block) was spacious,modern & a lovely view from the patio over the cricket pitch & down to the Tyne. Hotel is in an enviable position,just outside Bellingham so access to roads easy. Even an indoor pool. If you like comfort,without formality,I would highly recommend.”
”Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...
