”Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building.
Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

”- Room not that clean, baby found loads of hairs and things.
- post-booking I got loads of repetitive spam messages to check in online days before arrival.
- Facilities have restricted use, e.g. no children at pool 10am-6pm! The only reason we stayed there was so the wife can rest at the pool with the baby.
- Restaurant food was pub quality but Michelin price.
- "Entry" to breakfast ends at 9:30 not 10 as advertised.

”Pleasant room and bathroom. Breakfast good qith plenty of choice.
We stayed during a heatwave and our room was like an oven even with 2 fans so it was hard to get to sleep. The window opened a bit but not enough to make a real difference..”

”We loved our mini-moon at The Spread Eagle. The staff were kind enough to upgrade our room, offer us some fizz on the house and gave us cutlery and plates so we could enjoy a bit more wedding cake. I'm sure you don't have to be freshly married to enjoy your time at the hotel, it is a lovely space, the staff were brilliant and the room was comfortable and clean. The pool area and spa treatments were incredible as well. The room was a bit warm in the heatwave - I guess due to it being an older...
