”We loved everything about our stay. The house is 16th century, tastefully renovated and full of interest and character, in a quiet, rural location. The bedroom was fully equipped with everything we needed, a lovely freestanding bath, great shower and super comfortable bedding. Sheila and Guy were fantastic hosts, very friendly and welcoming, and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. ”We were not prepared for how much the beds would be slanting and difficult to sleep in. The floor of the room was very up and down, but there was no leveling platform underneath the bed, so we spent each night sleeping at a most uncomfortable angle, trying not to fall out of bed. The musician in the bar on Saturday night was directly under our room and we could not sleep until 10pm, which with jet lag was not helpful. Very friendly staff and great breakfasts, however.”

”We received a warm welcome from Kevin and given a little tour of downstairs which consisted of a breakfast room and a good size comfy sitting area, the honest bar is a nice touch. We were then shown to our room on the first floor No2 which was a good size bedroom/shower room. Breakfast is chosen the day before via a tick sheet which is on two sides so plenty of choices, on both days it was delicious. Would definitely recommend!”

”Stayed in this lovely small hotel For a work trip. It’s in a slightly older style but still very pleasant. Michael and his colleagues were very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay and the room was comfortable and had what I needed. Bed comfy and room tidy. Breakfast was fantastic.
