”We stayed here as a stop over as we were visiting locally. The hotel staff were fabulous. Professional, helpful and informative.
The inside space was comfortable, clean and felt spacious. There were places to sit away from our room and we made use of the bar.
The bedroom was clean and the bottles of water along with the tea and coffee were welcomed.
Breakfast was buffet style and there were lots of choices. It was all delicious, especially the scrambled eggs.

”The room was spotless and staff extremely courteous. The floors in the common areas —stone and carpets were very dirty, so a good shampoo or replacement of the carpeting is in order. The muck in the corners of the entranceway, hallways and bar was particularly problematic. The staff was amazing, as was the service and food!!”

Great breakfast with quality produce.
Brilliant selection of ales.
Old fashioned English Inn with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.
Tidy room with a modern en-suite shower room. Bed not to our liking but that's very much a personal choice.
In a very quiet location with no shops nearby but would recommend for an overnight stay.”

”Holly Cottage was a terrific place to stay. It was so quiet and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and the internet was amazingly fast if you need to work while traveling. Tim was very responsive but gave us our privacy. The Peaslake Store was just down the road for anything we needed and even carried products from the Coverwood Farm, where Holly Cottage is located. One of my fav places I’ve stayed in. Would highly recommend!”
