”I booked a room, which turned out to be very cold. I booked this premium hotel to be comfortable, and I wasn't. I called about this in the evening and they came to fix it. I also called in the morning, but no one came.
I might be old-fashioned, but back in the day there would be immediate compensation for a satisfactory resolution, i.e. free breakfast. Something like this would have made up for the issue, but nothing was offered. Feels like "thank you for your £200+, we dont care how it was...

”Not the usual Marriott standard. Shower was dangerous as the temperature dial didn't work so I nearly scalded myself. Had to tell my kids not to use the shower. I reported it to reception and they refunded my parking charge as compensation but it was quite sufficient considering we couldn't shower properly! The mattresses were also of poor quality. Areas of the hotel were very old and needed updating. However, the rooms were clean and breakfast was decent. ”

”When we checked in, we paid for three days of parking at £5 per day. The reception said their printer wasn’t working so they couldn’t give us a receipt. ”Convenient location with plenty of parking (albeit £8 per night), clean & tidy, very good buffet breakfast as well as lunch and dinner dining options. Unfortunatley our room was one floor above the gym and we could hear every grunt and thump and footstep on the treadmill, so make sure to check! Other than that would have no hesitation in returning.”

”The room was really dark and I didn't like the open plan layout with the toilet in the bedroom (no privacy). The room décor was tired and the jacuzzi didn't work.
