Description had twin bed, in practice it was a single bed. Men's shared bathroom lock was broken. No soap in shared shower. You can hear every single thing the people in rooms next to you are doing. Breakfast was OK. Parking is convenient.

Das Hotel liegt an der Durchgangsstrasse,die Zimmer gehen teils dorthin hinaus.Da es keine Klimaanlage gibt,ist es bei offenem Fenster relativ oft laut,wozu die im Hotel integrierte Bar beitraegt.Die Zimmer liegen im 2.ten OG via Treppe und sind recht dunkel.Bei uns ging die Deckenleuchte nicht .Es gibt ein Stockwerkklo und -Dusche,alles recht einfach und etwas altbacken.Wenn man nachts dorthin muss,knarren die Flurdielen ziemlich.Fruehstueck war einfach,aber ok ,die Bedienung super freundlich.

If you're curious about what a basic hotel was like a century ago, this is the place. It has all the charm: squeaky and shaky floors and doors, one toilet and one shower at the end of the corridor for all occupants, no soap dispenser in the shower, stained bed sheets. If not, look elsewhere.

Personnel extrêmement compétent et sympathique
L'hôtel est très bien. Il est très bien placé sur un axe principal avec évidemment un peu de bruit. Ma femme est tombée malade pendant le séjour et nous avons du repartir plus rapidement et ils nous ont remboursé la nuit non utilisée. Encore merci pour ce geste commercial très apprécié.

Alpina is a wonderfully warm and cozy property. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is terrific. Beds are comfortable and shower strong and hot! We would definitely stay here again.

Es war ein alter, schmudeliger Teppich im Zimmer. Die Kopfkissen dürften mal ersetzt werden. Das übrige war mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ok.

Leuk plaatselijk verblijf als uitvalsbasis
Het inchecken moest via een scancode,en toen dat niet werkte, een papier invullen. We zouden dan ook een plaatselijke voordeelkaart voor o.a. openbaar vervoer hebben moeten krijgen, maar dit hoorde we pas de volgende dag bij het lokale infokantoor. Ook ontbijt moesten we navragen. Let op, de ingang is direct aan de weg (geen stoep), en er is voortdurend veel verkeer met bijbehorend lawaai. Mooie omgeving om te wandelen of de natuur te bekijken.

This is an older property in the Alps.. At first it was odd to me how the business worked.. My room was upstairs above the kitchen and dining area.. A sink in bedroom..I personally could not get tv to work.. My dinner and breakfast was great.. And the lady who served me both that night and morning was very nice and helpful.. The place is old and the floors creeked but it reminded me of my childhood and was a bit nostalgic.. No bathroom in rooms.. This would be my only complaint.. toilet and shower area is shared by other few guests thst might be staying.. That said tho they was clean and modern and seemed taken care of properly.. But for a price that wont break budget like the bigger ski places, the place was perfect for my needs..

So beautiful region!
I picked the budget version, so it was bit budget with shared bathroom and toilet...but that was okay, as In stayed just for sleeping. very welcoming place and excellent location for lots of trips in the area. So beautiful region! Plenty of space for free parking. Restaurant downstairs was okay and tasty. Liked the service with a smile!

The accommodation is located in Grimselwelt. An amazing part of Switzerland, in the middle of the mountains, where you can do a lot of fun activities. There is a huge parking spot right in front of the hotel, which you can see out of your room's window (when you have a street view, not garden view). The hotel offers a free breakfast every morning. It is a simple but good breakfast. The personnel is very nice, and very sweetly offered us a discount voucher when we wanted to visit the Aareschlucht, a must-see and very close to the hotel. They were very helpful and answered all of our questions (also in advance of our arrival) to help us on our way. The room itself was good, a big bed and a sink in the room. The tap water is drinkable! We used it to refill our water bottles. The cars on the road outside can make a lot of noise, but the window shields a lot of that noise. The only thing I was surprised about, was that there was a shared bathroom. The hotel's Expedia page, very confusingly states that there is a shared bathroom (I saw afterwards), but right next to/below the bullet "shared bathroom", a bullet says "shower only". Which doesn't make much sense. I think Expedia needs to update this description of the hotel, since not many people may like the surprise of a shared bathroom (including me). However, it was very clean, so no issues there! I personally just like the privacy of my own bathroom. Overall an amazing stay!

Mooie locatie maar verder niet aan te raden
Het was een mooie locatie. Het hotel was zeer aan renovatie toe, zowel aan het gebouw zelf als de inrichting. Slechte staat van kozijnen ed. En oude vieze vloerbedekking en inrichting. Het leek voor 40 jaar terug gekocht en daarna nooit meer iets aan gedaan te zijn. Vloer kraakte vreselijk en bewoog bij elke stap zodat je wakker werd als iemand naar toilet moest bv. Douche en toilet delen met de hele verdieping. Ontbijt minimaal. Slechte prijs/kwaliteit verhouding...veel te duur voor wat je krijgt.
