”Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not...

”The hotel is under renovation so that affected our stay. There were work crews everywhere, and scaffolding all over the place. ”

”Lovely New Forest pub. Very friendly atmosphere. Large clean room, comfy bed, modern bathroom. Very quiet at night. Big breakfast, varied evening meals and excellent beer. New Forest ponies on the green and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's grave two minutes up the road! Excellent value. Really enjoyed our stay, thanks.”

”Air conditioning kept turning off (and displaying an error code) leading to a very uncomfortable stay. Problem was reported to front desk and it was unclear if they tried or were unable to do anything about it. Have stayed here before and it was decent, but this most recent stay was not pleasant at all.”

”Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers”
