”This hotel is as wonderful as they say. Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is delicious and has the best coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good. We stayed here for 1 night, pre cruise out of Southampton. It was only a 30 minute taxi ride to port. Romsey is a small (1,000 people) town, the prettiest little English town you'll ever see. I wish we could have stayed longer. Not touristy and easy to navigate. One of those "out of the way" " off...

”Welcoming and friendly host (Julia) who met us on arrival and showed us to our room after showing us the breakfast room and downstairs facilities. Bedroom was well furnished and clean as well as the very large bathroom which had both shower and bath. Small fridge in bedroom stocked with chilled water and milk and lots of supplies to make drinks. Very quiet area, peaceful sleep. Lots of choice at breakfast (continental), self-serve. Parking on site, felt a safe area to walk to local restaurant....

”Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses.
