The hotel is clean and the room smelled fresh when entering. The hallways are narrow. We stayed in a family room. The upstairs got a bit hot during the night but there was a fan in the room. Our rooms balcony door wasn't easy to use, the lock didn't work properly (but it did lock). The balcony was nice, but not for small children. The railing is really low. The room was cleaned and fresh towels brought every day. If you need to leave your luggage at the hotel before you check in or after you check out, it costs a minimum of 5£ (2 bags).

Royal Eagle Hotel London - not comfortable
Location very good. As there was no AC we had to keep window open during nights and trafic outside was pretty bad during nights. Water in bathrooms dangerously hot. Painting work in progress next to our room. Smell not nice. Friendly staff. Picture of room didnt match the pic what I saw during the reservation.

Hotelli sopii hyvin muutaman päivän kaupunlomalle, kätevä sijainti lähellä Paggintonin asemaa. Plussaa: hyvä aamiainen ja huoneessa puulattia, joka allergiselle matkaaja ehdoton valinta. Miinusta: hotellikäytävillä edelleen kokolattiamatot, kylpyhuoneen suihku hankala, ei käsisuihkua.

Not worthy of your money
The hotel was not really managed and the people in the reception did not speak that good english which lead to misscommunications. When things tried to be sortes the receptionist started to get heated for no reason. The rooms are really really small. They gave us 3 person room which was smaller than normal 1 person rooms. We couldnt even fit our luggage in the room, that’s how small it was. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The staff at the Royal Eagle were wonderful. Our room was on the 4th floor. At night it was very quiet hearing no street noise. We did not try the breakfast, so we can't comment on this. While our beds were not the most comfortable, we were tired at night, so our sleep was undisturbed. The bathroom was more than adequate, with plenty of hot water. Location of hotel is in minute's walk of trains and busses, plus plenty of yummy eating places. We would stay here again for sure.

I needed a reasonably priced London hotel for one night close to transport links. This hotel ticked all of the boxes. Booking was efficient and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to Nisha on reception (I think that was her name) who was super friendly and accommodating. The room, which was for one person, was small, but I expected that for the price and type of property. It was clean and had everything I needed for one night. Are there better London hotels that this? - of course; but if you are looking for a short stay at a sensible London price - the Royal Eagle is absolutely fine and does what it says on the tin. I would certainly book again and am happy to recommend this hotel for the reasons stated.

The staff were friendly and quick to help with transportation planning regarding routes and bus numbers. We were always greeted in a friendly way when leaving and returning to hotel. The shower had great hot water and amenities. Great location in a nice neighbourhood.

Great location in Paddington. Convenient for the tube. Beautiful parks nearby. Basic hotel but very clean and very friendly staff. We had late transportation back home and we were allowed to store our luggage for just £5 for 3 bags so were able to spend more time in London on our last day.

Hotel ist fußläufig sehr gut von der UI-Bahn Station Paddington erreichbar. Tägliche Säuberung. Bei der Buchung müsste jedem klar sein, dass die Zimmer sehr klein sind. Da wir viel unternommen haben, war es uns egal. Unsere Matratzen waren ein wenig "weich". Waren im jahr 2023 schon mal da , da waren die Matratzen besser. Würde es wieder buchen.

Incredibly rundown facilities. Thankfully, I just stayed there one night. Only one electrical outlet in the whole tiny room. Tiny elevators. Tiny walkable corridors. The bathtub was clogged. Floor tiling was not properly installed. Check-in was rude. Check-out was fine. Property looks acceptable from the outside. It is located in a posh area, and close to Paddington station, but it is surprisingly rundown.

We had the family room which was a great option but the beds were terrible. You could see the springs coming through the mattress and could hardly sleep on it.

The room was very small for a double bed. No room to move around. Doors on shower didn’t open sufficiently far making getting in and out quite tricky Staff on reception were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Lady serving on restaurant was very friendly

On the morning of 26 February 2024 at about 5.30-6am the ceiling above my bed started to leak water on to me and my possessions so I went to reception rapidly to report the flood. I have increased the rating for cleanliness but have decreased for safety as the water was emerging from the electric light socket in the ceiling and the receptionist turned the lights on when he cam to the room until I shouted at him it was a live current (not the water!).

The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, the location is fantastic as its very close to Paddington. The breakfast in the morning was enough and staff were always filling things up highly recommend for next visit
