Very good. Service was more than excellent in all levels. Riad had nice breakfast, food available if needed and alcohol all so. After hot and long day in city, it was nice to enjoy evening at their roofgarden and enjoy one cold beer.

Keidas vilinän keskellä
Ihana keidas kiireisen vilinän keskellä. Paikkaan on lähes mahdoton osata minkään kartan perusteella (kartat eivät vastaa katujen sokkeloisuutta). Kannattaa kysyä paikallisilta, he tietävät tämänkin riadin sijainnin - ainakin, jos on jo itse sielläpäin kaupunkia. Kannattaa varautua antamaan tästä tiedosta neuvojalle pieni maksu esim. pari dirhamia ja enemmänkin, jos viedään riadin ovelle asti. Miehet yleensa haluavat ohjeistaan rahaa, naiset eivät. Riad on kuin tuhannen ja yhden yön taruista, kauniisti sisustettu. Aamupala oli joka aamu erilainen ja juomaksi sai jopa maitoon keitettyä kaakaota, nam! Illallinen riadissa on myös varteenotettava vaihtoehto, vaikka hintataso on silloin ihan eurooppalainen. Illallinen oli erinomainen ja erittäin riittoisa. Paikallisista kuppiloista saa helposti vatsapöpöjä. Leipää ja ihania 'sipulipizzoja' saa helposti ja edullisesti kadulta, samaten hedelmiä. Kannattaa muistaa, että eurooppalaisilta pyydetään katukaupassa helposti 10-kertaista hintaa, koska se vastaisi silloin eurooppalaista hintatasoa.

Moorish memories!
Met at the airport and driven to a tiny entrance door in the wall of a maze! Once inside the cool reception area a few formalities were covered, and I was shown to my room. Mr Abdou was kind and courteous, answering any questions and showing me the walking route to the city centre. The Tagine was excellent and the room was comfortable.

Well recommended Riad
Lapis-Lazuli is lovely Riad situated a km or so from the centre of the Medina. It's typical in its design with rooms around a central courtyard. It's a very quiet building and proved to be most comfortable. The rooms are well furnished and the shower worked well. My room was slightly larger and included a sofa which I assume converts into an extra bed It's run by Patrik and Abdou. We only saw Patrik for a short while each morning. Abdou is there from evening until morning and could not have been more helpful. The easy walk into Jemaa El-Fna is most interesting but a bit circuitous. Abdou very kindly walked with us on the first evening to show us the way for the last part getting back to the Riad. We had booked a meal at the Riad for our first evening - delicious lamb tagine, the tastiest we had while in Marrakech. We also booked taxis to and from the airport through them - well worth it.

Getting to the riad is tricky at first, but it is not bad at all after you get the hang of it. Abdou was excellent with us. He helped us understand how to get around the area with ease. He even made us an early breakfast for our trip. Avoid fake guides for the riad; they will ask as much as 200 MAD for the instructions.

If you want a place to stay that is in the medina, but far enough away thag you can actually get some rest at night, this is for you. Patrick, and Abdou are gracious and kind hosts that are willing to help any way they can. The room had everything I needed to be a launchpad for walking and exploring the Medina. Please do not hesitate to book here for an authentic riad stay.

I recommend eating at the riad during your stay, their tagines are delicious and affordable. The property itself is lovely. While outside the tourist area, it is only a 15-20 minute walk to the main sites.

The property was beautiful, my room was on the main floor behind a nested door. It was tight, but a beds a bed and this room had 2. The bathroom was separated from the main room by a curtain, which is awkward no matter who you’re staying with. But they can wait in the cozy main area or use the bathroom there if needed. Still, a door would’ve been great 😅 The room has a strict no-drinks policy, but water was available for purchase from the Riad. A nice light breakfast with coffee was included with the room. The room has an Ac unit which did its best and got the room down to 21C and kept it there. Patrick, the manager, was an absolute gem. He was incredibly accommodating, and very helpful, as was his aid Abdou. Both are absolute gentlemen. The riyad was about a 15 minute walk from the taxi stop, and 30 minutes from the old market and all the good shopping and restaurants. What I DIDNT like were the young men who would try and convince me the main route to the riad is “closed”, then after taking me the long way, asked for $10. I fell for it the first time, but they tried this every time I passed them. That’s why I deducted a star.

Bonjour,itinéraire en voitureQuand vous entrez par la porte de Bab Kechich, à 150 métres vous allez avoir sur votre gauche le commissariat de police et juste après à 50 métres vous tournez sur votre droite vous allez avoir une place avec la pharmacie Kechich. Vous continuez et vous allez arriver devant une nouvelle grande porte Bab Khemiss donc la vous tournez à gauche et après 50 métres vous prenez à droite ou il y a une petite porte. Vous continuez jusqu'à ce que vous arrivez sur une patte d'oie et là vous partez sur la rue de gauche et vous continuez pendant environ 400 métres et vous êtes arrivé.CordialementHiWhen you enter by the door of Bab Kechich, in 150 meters you will have on your left the police station and just after 50 meters you turn on your right you will have a place with the pharmacy Kechich. Estivemos 4 noites no Riade. Super simpáticos Higiene do espaço , boa Só não gostei do quarto porque não tinha janela. Mas possivelmente quando marquei não reparei . Uma caminhada de 20 mn e está na praça principal. Perto do Riade , muito comércio e restaurantes . Aconselho

A stylish riad made better with a good service
Riad is located at the northern part of the old medina which seems to be a bit quieter than the southern part closer to the Djemaa el fna. Riad entrance is a bit tricky to find even though it's located at the bigger street. Door has a small sign yes but still maybe it could have a bigger or more visible sign perhaps? Rooms and the riad in general are immaculate and well equipped! Close to the riad is a mosque and in the evenings the people sitting at the entrance of the mosque were shouting something to western people walking by so that was a bit unpleasant and scary. Marrakech medina in general is quite a shady place at dark since there's not enough lighting and some alleys are pitch black. Otherwise the location of the riad is very good as there is max 10min walk to ATM, taxi stand, restaurants and a day tour pick up point. What makes this riad fantastic is its staff, mostly Mr. Abdou. He did everything to make your stay and trip better and more pleasant. He provided lots of information and maps and instructions and directions and was available basically 24/7 for hotel customers needs. Early breakfast? Abdou took care of it. Forgot to buy water from medina? Abdou took care of it. Wanna cut your fingernails but don't have the clippers? Abdou went to buy the clippers and brought to your room in 10mins. This man is the embodiment of hospitality. If the riad owner reads this please give my compliments (and possibly a raise) to Abdou!

Nice Riad, nice decor. Abdou was especially amazing. Really cared about my safety and helped in every way possible - Thank You! My biggest let down is that the owner is smoking non stop at the center of the place, and the smoke smell goes everywhere including the room. If you are out and about all day you may not notice it at all. Note that all payments need to be in cash at the property, so come prepared. All in all, a very nice place and nice staff.

Super séjour ! Le Riad est très joli et bien décoré dans la pure tradition marocaine. Un endroit très intime et familiale Idéalement situé pour visiter Marrakech à pied. Un grand merci à Abdou pour ça gentillesse et sa disponibilité! Toujours de bon conseil pour visiter les lieux emblématiques de Marrakech. Le couscous et le tajine sont juste excellents. Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Dommage que la piscine soit en panne lors de notre séjour. Nous reviendrons dans cette endroit! Nous conseillions ce Riad à tous ceux qu’il désire passer un séjour immersif dans la pure tradition marocaine. Mille merci !

Incredible Stay in Beautiful Accommodations!
We loved our stay at Riad Lapis-Lazuli! Patrick was so kind, easy to communicate with prior to our arrival, and very welcoming. The space itself was beautiful and clean. The location was excellent--easy walking distance from all sorts of attractions. Abdou, the gentleman on duty during the evenings, was incredibly kind and showed us around the area and made sure we did not get lost. We highly recommend this stay!

Mooie Riad, sfeervol, een plek om tot rust te komen. Abdou is echt een fantastische gastheer. Hij staat altijd voor je klaar, helpt je de weg te vinden en geeft handige tips. Hij regelt echt alles. Zelfs om 4 uur in de ochtend voor ons een ontbijt gemaakt voor vertrek. Echt een hele fijne vriendelijke behulpzame man. Dank je Abdou!!!

Highly recommended
It’s the people that make this riad so special. They couldn’t be more helpful. It’s located in the tranquil northern part of the medina and has everything you need. Do try and eat here at least one evening during your stay, the choice is small but the tagines are delicious. But make sure you are hungry - the portions are sumptuous. A big thank you to everyone for a great introduction to Moroccan hospitality.

Magnifique séjour
Magnifique séjour au Lapiz Lazuli! Nous avons dégusté un délicieux tajine le soir de notre arrivée ainsi que de savoureux petits déjeuners dans le Riad, d’une propreté irréprochable et d’une beauté sans nom. Patrick nous a réservé un accueil des plus chaleureux et Abdou a été aux petits soins durant tout notre week-end. L’hôtel est très bien situé: tous les lieux touristiques sont accessibles à pied. Ce voyage a marqué nos cœurs. Le lapiz lazuli restera notre Riad de référence à Marrakech!

This place is gem. Patrick.the host is not only a great cook, he will do his best to accomodate your requests so does his assistant Abdou. The service is great and the riad is well locatedand is spotless .The architecture and interior decor are exqisite and they also have a lovely rooftop terrace. Hello sorry to see this comment after all we have done for you!! it was very hot okay but I am not responsible for the weather and in your room the air conditioning was running all day! the taxi rank is a 3 minute walk? as for the old house, it is a riad in the medina of Marrakech, a riad from the 17th century, therefore more than 400 years old, moreover the riads are not hotels but guest houses! that you rented for 35 euros! the breakfast is a continental breakfast! The riad is nicely decorated and has a cool vibe about it. The top terrace is worth checking out if you check in here. The property is located in the North of the Medina and whilst maybe not ideal to explore the touristy areas, the neighbourhood has an authentic feel about it and you can get to walk the entire souk. Staff is very nice and helpful. We had a tour booked early and they were nice enough to prepare breakfast for us earlier.
