”Lovely hotel. Clean room. Exceptionally warm welcome from Micheal. Being shown to the room is a lovely touch, rather than being pointed in the direction of your room. We didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Car parking excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully enjoy the amenities, as this visit we were just staying for one night and didn't have time enjoy the splendour of the hotel.”

”Nice location and property. Very good food but quite expensive. No a la carte breakfast available, only a one price buffet for £14.95 Close to shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff.”

”Easy to book online, reasonable prices. Staff welcome, check in easy. Food outlets in hotel available at different times. Good size room, comfortable bed. Parking area ample. Our only negative was our bathroom sink had a few old cracks (objects been dropped), not appealing”

”It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place.”

”Terrible. Not at all as advertised. Front door was unlocked and open on arrival. Room door was open on arrival and unlockable. Room window was damaged and stuck wide-open, completely unclosable. I called the contact number and had no answer and received no call back. I arrived towards midnight at the property and still chose not to stay here.”

”The breakfast was very good nice selection and it was warm and fresh. Our room was basic but had everything we needed and it was clean. The staff were great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

”The room was clean and comfortable enough. The location is good, and it's a pretty cool old building. As with all Greene King pubs and hotels, the wifi isn't really free since you have to fill out a form divulging a bunch of personal information to use it, which I declined to do. ”

”The bedsheets were dirty with holes in them from cigarette burns and the smoke alarm was covered by a glove hanging on the ceiling Was told a cleaner would come out, but they never did. We did not stayed the night and had to find somewhere else.”
