”This place was amazing.
The room was big and we had a beautiful view on the back forest. We had two choices of Onsen (outside and inside) and both were very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The staff went above and beyond for us. Because there was not of other guest, we were able to have one side of the Onsen for us instead of being separated man and woman.
The night we had food at the ryoko was wonderful and te food was delicious. Our stay there truly was amazing and I would go back any...
”Our favorite stop by far. The kids adored the place and the owners, it’s like staying with loving grandparents. A very traditional, authentic Japanese household with natural hot springs, and traditional bath robes provided. The fixtures are in their original state, they reflect the history of a family that have shared their way of life with wondering guests throughout the years. The breakfast was very traditional and generous, we enjoyed it with green tea and sitting on the floor with low table....

”Had the most amazing stay at Hotel Indigo in Gora. Perfect location for exploring Hakone and the hotel facilities were great excellent. Loved having our own private onsen but also the public hotel onsen was fantastic! The staff are incredibly attentive and kind, such a beautiful experience.
The free hotel shuttle to and from Odawara Station and the hotel also makes getting there a breeze! Definitely use the hotels free car service to get up to Gora Station if your exploring Hakone, as the steps...
”Upea paikka Hakonen Gorassa. Aamupala oli kattava ja pääosin japanilaistyyppinen, mitä itse pidin hyvänä, maassa maan tavalla. Illan ilmainen olut, alkoholi ja snack tarjoilu oli myös upea lisä! Kävimme myös illallisella hotellissa, se oli hintava (n. 50€), mutta erinomainen hinta-laatusuhde, sillä hintaan sisältyi hyvän buffetin lisäksi myös valittavissa oleva irrallinen pääruoka, sekä alkoholilliset ruokajuomat. Hyvä sijainti, johon on helppo tulla esim. Tokiosta. Yleinen ja priva Onsen...

Location is good as you can take a cable car to go either up or down the mountain.
