”Wow! An amazing experience at a beautiful property, with outstanding service. We stayed for 2 nights at the end of our travels in NZ, and this was truly the highlight of our trip. The setting is stunning, the food is outstanding, and the room is beautiful. But the staff are what make the place really special. Over the years, we have stayed in excellent hotels around the world, and this one ranks among the best. Exclusive, exquisite, and refined. Highly recommended.”

”Beautiful hotel with stunning views of Queenstown. Incredible staff who make you feel extremely welcome and special. Only complaint is the hotel is currently undergoing major works with construction running during our stay between 7-6pm which was not disclosed when booking. We are quite an easy going couple so wasn’t a big turn off for us but I can imagine for some this would be very problematic and some of the works meant needing to access an alternative entrance up a steep hill. In saying this...

”The staff were very kind and tried to do all they could to ensure our honeymoon was great. The food was delicious and they cleaned our room really nicely every day. Sylvester is the man. He’s made us feel very at home!”

”The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable bed and quality pillows. Breakfast, however, was a disappointment—I missed fresh vegetables and would have appreciated more than just butter to put on my bread. The breakfast area was crowded every morning, and the space felt quite cramped. The food at the hotel restaurant was poor in quality and didn’t meet expectations. Keep in mind that the hotel sits atop a small hill, which makes the walk from Queenstown’s town centre slightly uphill. ”

”This place is weird. Problem 1: no parking or even a simple place to unload. You have to lug suitcases up a dirt path from an adjacent parking lot where you can’t park during the day without paying $6:50 an hour so if you do the all day bus tour to Milford Sound you would need to pay over $50 but since you leave very early in the morning the meter system can’t work. So there are Parker’s with big tickets on their windows. Two: there is no one at the desk from early evening till Moy and that...
