The staff are professional & friendly. The breakfast buffet could be a bit more extensive (a few more fruit choices would have been nice). But this is a very minor quibble. The beds are comfortable. The room was fine if a bit cramped. The property overall is beautiful and you can't beat the location.

Such an amazing stay - I would not stay anywhere else in Porto! The location is A - everything from the bookstore to the churches to the riverwalk are no more than a 10 minute walk away. This really helped us be able to see a BUNCH without feeling rushed with the time we had in this awesome city. The breakfast was delicious and the vibe was unique inside.

This is a beautiful property with great service! The view from our room was gorgeous and the room was clean and had everything we needed! The only small complaint I have is that the walls seemed thin for how nice the hotel is. It could have been just because I was in a corner room and maybe the way the walls connected were just thinner than normal. The people next to us also had young children and it seemed they were sick with a persistent cough so it was particularly hard to ignore. I don’t fault the hotel for this but I just note it in case you are a really light sleeper to maybe ask if it’s possible to be in a room that does not have a next door neighbor.

Wow wow wow! I can't say enough good things about my stay at Hospes Infante Sagres. The staff were extremely welcoming friendly and helpful. The hotel was absolutely beautiful with very convenient walking distances to shopping, the water and to many restaurants. Overall 10/10 stay and would recommend to anyone traveling to Porto.

Lovely hotel. Very convenient for Porto city centre. Staff all very helpful. Our only problem was that they were renovating the third floor and we were in the fourth. There was a heavy solvent smell which became very bad on our last day. It was so noxious that we were worried about safety. There were no spare rooms lower down so we moved out and had a refund for the last night.

Wonderful, Elegant Hotel
This elegant hotel is from the old world. Service is old fashioned and personal. The rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. Be sure to get off the elevator on the first floor and descend down the elegant staircase. You'll feel like you are walking down in an old 40's movie.

This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The only reason I have not given the fill five stars was because the refurbishment overran during my stay and for one night the smell of fresh paint was terrible. However, the next day the issue was overcome and I had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel.

Rather disappointed
We had such high expectations for the hotel, since the majority of reviews were fabulous. But we found a hotel under renovation, with constant noise in our rooms, with poor service and zero attention to detail. Although, the hotel itself and its quarters are fabulous and do transport us back to the golden age, the lack of attentive service and warmth from the staff did impact our overall experience. The most disappointing part was the breakfast, which was pretty limited, with poor selection of fruits, hot dishes and pastries, as well as low quality ingredients - mostly, the coffee, which was self-serviced from machines, which I find unacceptable for a five star hotel. The location is pretty good, though, within a walking distance to the major attractions! However, i wouldn’t stay there again.

Hotel Hospes Infante Sagrias - Royal Ambiance We arrived at Hotel Hospes Infante Sagrias on 31st January 2024, after a silky smooth flight on TAP Portugal Airlines from London to Porto. The transfer from Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport on the fast, tranquil, sleek Metro train (directly next to the airport) to Estacion Trinidade in Central Porto only took 30 minutes on a 24-hour city travel card available at automatic machines for roughly €8. The hotel Infante Sagrias is situated in the historic heart of Porto; receptionists upgraded our room from Superior to Junior Suite at no extra cost and offered us daily sumptuous breakfast at a discounted rate. Everybody in the hotel is friendly and respectful in a quiet and tactful manner, etiquette is high class in Infante Sagrias and there is no exception. The hotel booked for us tickets to visit the famous Lello & Irmaõ, considered by many the most beautiful bookshop in the world. They booked us into restaurants, concerts and spa at the associated Intercontinental Hotel. On my wife’s birthday, the restaurant offered us a cake with lit candle as a present from Infante Sagres. We had 5 days of comfort and luxury in Infante Sagres and enjoyed leisurely visits to the Douro Ribeira ( Riverside), the Atlantic Ocean beach nearby, symphonic concert in Casa da Musica, breathtaking panoramic views from the Gardens of the Crystal Palace and delicious local cuisine. We made friends in the hotel and in Porto and would love to come back.

The hotel is stunning and the staff lovely. The reason there is no 5th star is that the new owner of just 9 months is rude, inelegant, and most of all, lacks all nuance and love of a good Hospitalitarian. This 5 star hotel will not survive without a true Hospitality Leader at its Core and Helm.
