Epämuelkyttävä lomakokenus kalliista hotellista
Huone oli likainen tullessamme, ripsiä sängyssp, tahraiset ja ryppyiset lakanat, hiuksia ammeen reunalla ja lavuaarin päällä. Lattia hiekkainen ja tahmea. Nyrpeä vastaanoton henkilø. Vanha ja todella loppuunkulunut irtaimisto kaikkialla, ainoastaan hotellin aula oli viihtyisä ja puhdas. Ruoka oli mautonta. Positiivista pitkä ranta hotellin vieressä.

Siisti hotelli, hyvä ruoka, buffa erittäin toimiva (lapset tykkäsivät myös). Lapsiperheille oikein sopiva. A’la carte ravintolat kiva lisä ja niissä ruoka myös todella hyvää. Miinusta perushintaan kuuluvat juomat. Olisi pitänyt upgradata, jotta olisi saanut juomakelpoista valko- tai punaviiniä, kuohuviinistä puhumattakaan. Lisäksi omassa varauksessa luki, että Wi-Fi kuuluisi huoneeseen, mutta se tarkoittikin vain sitä, että sitä oli mahdollista käyttää huoneessa, jos oli ostanut maksullisen wifin, jota voi käyttää kerrallaan vain yhdessä laitteessa?! Nelihenkiselle perheelle se olisi maksanut 140$/viikko. Maksuton Wi-Fi toimi vain pienellä rajatulla alueella, eikä sekään kovin hyvin. Hotelli oli öisin mukavan rauhallinen ja ranta Ok.

Rantalomaa etsivälle hyvä valinta.
Ensimmäinen vierailu Dominikaaniseen, ja kokemus oli positiivinen. Hotelli oli yksi monesta all inclusive paikoista Playa Doradalla. Hotelli on keskitasoinen mukavuuksiltaan, internet toimii tyydyttävästi. Dominikaaniseen matkaavan kannattaa pitää mielessään, että esim. puhelin toimii siellä vain joissain verkoissa ja tällöinkin heikosti. Palvelu VH Ventanassa on hyvää ja ystävällistä. Huoneet tarvitsisivat parannuksia mm. ilmastointi tulisi päivittää poistamaan enemmän kosteutta huoneesta. Rentoa rantalomaa etsivälle hyvä valinta.

The only nice staff that I crossed where very nice Luis and Melissa at thw Almejas restaurante. Our bedroom sink didn’t work properly, neither the toilet or bird poop on the floor all the time. I guess for ppl who doesn’t like technology are a great candidates to stay here. The WiFi signal is horrible and the in general not signal at all. The room has only two outlets one in one side of the bed and the other one behind the tv. I feel that each side of the bed should have their own outlet. The food is delicious absolutely good taste. The beach is okay but not view to the beach

You get what you pay for. In looking for an affordable beachside place to stay, I listened to the advice of others and went for it. Now, I’m not going to say that it’s an awful place, others seemed pleased to be there, but I could only tolerate it for two nights. For perspective, I am a seasoned global traveler and generally have a less limited budget. The property itself is on a small stretch of an okay beach and the grounds are neatly maintained, but the infrastructure has seen better days and a bit outdated. Other than meals, a large pool filled with children and a non stop DJ/social director who doesn’t stop talking trying to entertain over the speakers for hours (I just want some quiet poolside relaxation) there is not much to actually do. Although the staff is generally attentive, particularly in the dining area, many need a lot more training in their comportment, some are loud shouting across the dining hall and act too familial with the guests (friendly interaction is part of Dominican culture) and not appropriate at a hotel from my perspective. I understand, some have limited education and exposure to proper customer service behavior, so the responsibility is on management to set adequate guidelines and training for some of these workers. The all inclusive meals are plentiful and offer a good choice of food and drinks. The dining area is large, but the acoustics are terrible. Overall, for those on a tight it’s good value.

The property needs maintenance. The bathrooms are gross and in need for remodeling. There is no night club in the same building and they dont play enough Spanish music which is part of the experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful so that made up for the negative part. The food was ok.

I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so to help others. Prior to booking I read almost every review, and they all lived up to exactly what they said. The rooms definitely need to be updated, the safes need to be codes and keys. The card key never worked and just in general, the whole hotel can use updating. With that being said the service, hospitality and warmth of the people and staff made this place like home I did take the royal package which I am grateful for because I would have been miserable if I didn’t. When I go on vacation, I like to be served. They could use a few more servers on the VIP side, a special shout out to Santa and Argueolo (vip server on beach) I even have special shout out to Joseph who is one of the vendors that sells jewelry on the beach. He is now a friend. As far as the food, I can’t say enough, the food was delicious except for sometimes breakfast could’ve been a little better. The drinks are good as long as you specify what you want and then it must be top shelf. I drink tequila they did not have what I drink but I did settle for Jose Cuervo, which was just fine. Unfortunately on our last day, we were checking out and had our last lunch and many many locals had come in in droves. They literally knocked me over while trying to get food. I found them extremely rude and took over. I was glad I was leaving at that point and if I do book again, I will make sure it’s not over the weekend when the locals are visiting.

The property stay was good overall. The rooms could use some renovations (and I was in a supposedly renovated room). It is difficult to get reservations for ala carte restaurants if you don’t book them immediately upon arrival for the entire week. It is also difficult to get beach/pool towels.

Staff were really great and room was kept clean for us. The beach is beautiful and there is lots to do around the resort and in the city. Beach service goes above and beyond keeping drinks topped up and making sure you're comfortable (premium/royal package beach). Beffet food was solid and the resteraunts were all good.

It is quite spacious resort with plenty of space around the pool and on the beach. The location of three open bars was very convenient. The only drawback for me was the constant state of competition between the guests to get a seat next to the pool and dry towel in the morning and a chair in the lounging area in the evening. It seams that They did not have enough space for all guests or there was a flow in the design. People working there were very polite and helpful except for the front desk attendents. When I approached them with the request, they asked me to come back in half an hour because they needed that time to come up with resolution. When i came back, another attendant had no idea about my request and other attendant left home. He just shrugged his shoulders, hearing that I was dismissed with nothing. Until this interaction, I tried to tip every helper after that, i just shrugged my shoulders.

This was our second time there. We will go back for the people and atmosphere. Getting water and coffee served at breakfast was difficult this time. It was the one place you didn’t see a lot of servers. There was more of an urgency to turn over dishes and towels which probably took away from service.

Phone in room never worked. Even after complaining to the front desk. Had to constantly walk to the front desk for requests. No shuffle service to the airport as advertised. Towels and sheets were damp when exchanged by housekeeping. No WiFi in room.

Bath/shower water in room did not work at first. There was no water pressure. It eventually came on after waiting an hour. We were also told that a shuttle would be available to go to the airport and this was not the case, the free shuttle only picks you up from the airport. It will not return you there.

We are very pleased with the clean beach! A lot of places are plagued with seaweeds problems. They kept the beach very clean. The food, presentation is not the best, but the flavors are quite good. Staff members are very friendly and attentive. Only issue was the noise associated with our room. There is a work site with a lot of construction noise on the back side of the building. Over all we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this resort.

We’ve been there many times and have met done great staff at the GV which has led us to returning often. However, the gym/fitness center needs attention. Machines have been broken for months, there are never any towels in the morning and it opens too late (7 am) in the morning. Many people like us wake up early and want to work out. Thank you
