Beautiful Villa
Such a great place to stay. Very relaxing and the perfect way to decompress after being in Rome. Marco has a beautiful property and Suni was an all star in assisting us while we were there. Grilled steaks on the grill, pizza in the pizza oven. Steam rooms, gorgeous pool, and excellent kitchen to make home cooked meals each night. Hope to be back.

Landhaus vor den Toren Roms
Wunderschönes Anwesen vor den Toren Roms. Fantastisches Grundstück mit sehr schönem, großen Pool. Das Haus ist auch sehr schön, sowohl innen wie außen. Viele wundervolle Sitzgelegenheiten im Außenbereich. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Sehr zu empfehlen

Beautiful House but disappointing end to our holiday
The house is simply beautiful, spotlessly clean and very practical. The kitchen has every tool needed to cook a 3 course meal. Sani who leaves in the grounds was very attentive to our needs yet very discrete. All went really well until 4 days after we left when we received a mail saying that our sun creams had marked the pool resulting into a very onerous damage. As guests we were blamed for using sun creams! It was very upsetting to be told we could be liable but for me it was even more upsetting given the surreal cause attributed to the damage. After a few days the issue was resolved by the owner but I didn’t appreciate the manner in which it was dealt with. There was also a mistake in the handling of a request for an extra night for which I received no apology. Overall a good experience, which could have been fantastic had the pool issue been handled better.

HAPPY TO HAVE YOU AS A GUEST, THANK YOU FOR YOUR REVIEW. For the problem of the swimming pool, this is the first time for us too after many years. We are happy to have solved it with the intervention of the pool technicians who attributed the problem to a probable chemical reaction between the components of the solar product and those used for cleaning the pool. Unpredictable things that can happen. For the payment of the night, there was an error by VRBO in the calculations made during the booking phase, having counted one less day of stay. Therefore, the payment concerns the day of stay not counted, so even if VRBO is responsible for the error, we sincerely apologize. Hoping to have you back as our guests, it will be a pleasure to give you a better treatment

Italian paradise!
Our week in Zagarolo was amazing! The home exceeded our expectations and Sani, the caretaker, was very attentive to our needs. After a busy day in Rome, it was wonderful to return to the peace of the countryside and enjoy the pool in the evening. We explored the village of Zagarolo and found wonderful places to eat and shop. We highly recommend Domus Flavia to anyone considering a trip to Italy who wants avoid the congestion of Rome.

Beautiful Estate
This house is absolutely beautiful and sparkling clean. The surrounding gardens, pool and views were stunning. There is a short walk to the train. We loved our stay and highly recommend this house. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Sublime and gracious
Marco's property is a gem, and every part of our stay was perfect. The on-property-host, Sunny, went above and beyond, and yet was in no way intrusive. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and tended. The pool was very clean. The home felt attentively and sumptuously appointed, and was difficult to leave. There are original modern paintings and photographs throughout. Everything was clean and sparkling, the beds were excellent, the a/c worked perfectly, and the kitchen was completely equipped (we made dinner there for 6 and there was not a single piece of equipment missing or out of place.) In addition, the property is very close to the train station, an easy 25 minutes into Rome by train. The town is charming and has an incredible restaurant where we were also welcomed as family. In sum, this felt like staying in an excellent hotel-quality resort, but with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. We were with 3 generations and we all want to go back and visit absolutely as possible! The house is a little difficult to find but once you're there you forget about that. Bravo Marco and thank you for sharing your property with the world.

Hidden estate in Zagarolo
Our group of six stayed here for 5 nights in June and the property and house is amazing. It's a little difficult to find, but you have a view of the hills surrounded by trees and lush landscaping. It's quiet and serene, really like being in the country--we regularly heard a peacock, roosters and a donkey. The house is expansive and has three levels. It is casually but well decorated and feels like a home. There are several places outdoors to sit and relax--on the patio, by the pool, at the outdoor kitchen. There is a property manager/caretaker who lives on the premises and is there should you need anything, which was very helpful. There is a separate apartment away from the main house that we also used and it is great--has its own hot tub and spa amenities. Zagarolo was a nice escape from the busy hustle of Rome and we're glad we chose to stay here.

An exceptional home in a beautiful area of Italy!
From the moment we walked in the entrance to Domus Flavia, we were thoroughly impressed. The interior decor was upscale yet warm and inviting and all whom we encountered were all very pleasant and accommodating. This is a beautiful home in a spectacular location in Zagarolo, Italy. The main house and guest house are beautiful, well maintained and the staff is exceptional (We love Sani!!). Everything was fantastic for our trip to paradise. Many thanks to you Marco!!

A truly wonderful stay in a beautifully secluded villa
A rating of 5 stars is simply insufficient to describe the amazing experience my family and I had during our recent visit to the superb villa, Domus Flavia, which is on the outskirts of Rome in a small village known as Zagarola. The literal translation of Domus Flavia is “the vast residential complex of the Roman Emperors”, and in every sense of the word we felt like Roman nobility! On our arrival at the airport we were greeted by our private transfer, which was arranged for us by the very helpful property coordinator, Maria Teresa. When we arrived at the villa, following the 30 minute transfer, we had the warmest of welcomes from both Maria and the resident housekeeper, Sani, and can truly say that nothing was too much trouble for either of them. Our guided tour of the villa was totally breath-taking and exceeded our expectations at every level. The facilities, and indeed the marvellous pool and grounds, are just too amazing to describe in words alone. This villa, together with the hospitality that we received throughout our stay, simply classes it as a true gem! The property is spotless throughout, and you can feel the care and attention which has gone into its preparation for renting out as a beautiful holiday home. Sani is such a friendly, charming and happy individual which only added to the wonderful experience we had from start to finish. We were very sad to leave, but will I'm sure make a further visit in the not too distant future. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to taste the experience of it all. With a short walk to the local train station, it is ideally located for those wishing to visit Rome and the outlying areas. Enjoy!!
