”Big room, great staff”

”A delightful rural retreat within 15 minutes walk to the centre of Rothbury. ”

”The check in was fast and friendly, the room is lovely, with a nice view. There was quite a lot of noise from the street below early in the morning and the church bells were regular throughout the night. The breakfast was a good amount but lukewarm spolt the vibe. The price we paid , i think was high for this standard.”

”Fantastic Sunday lunch and great customer service. Upgraded to a junior suite which was very comfortable, lovely large bed, warm room, nice bathroom and great shower. Finished off with a great breakfast menu s d very good Northumbrian breakfast. ”

”The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home and very welcome. The hotel was lovely, quiet, with proper fires and excellent Chesterfields to relax and chat on. The selection at the small bar was very good, I enjoy a good whisky when relaxing and they had a good selection. Our room was a good size, just right for us, the bed was comfortable and the room was warm. It had all of the usuals expected, tea coffee etc. the dinning room was also lovely, the food was excellent, perfectly...

”This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. ”We had a fantastic stay at this quirky and beautiful hotel. Even though we had booked the petite double room it didn't disappoint. As hotel rooms go it wasn't small. Beautifully decorated with beautiful ornate furniture and very comfy bed. Tea , coffee and water replenished every day. The breakfast and food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were excellent, lovely and friendly. We would definitely go back. ”

We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been.
