”Very decent hotel, particularly good for overnight stays for the ferry. The reception we received was excellent, the room was spacious, the bed comfortable and everything was very clean. The communication from the hotel was great and they were very accommodating when we asked for a room on a lower floor. The parking is a bit tight so would recommend booking in advance. Perfect hotel for us.”

”Poor place. They gave wrong room type, I paid for apartment with double bed and there was not that. Aparment was very cold because somebody left door open and inside was same temperature like outside. Door was open because lock did not worked. Reception was closed and nobody answered to phone so there was not possible to get right apartment. Inside was also smell of urea. ”

”Wenn man das Memorial von Cean besuchen möchte, hat das Hotel eine super Lage, man ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß dort. Für die Altstadt ist man ca 40 Minuten zu Fuß unterwegs. Einen Supermarkt mit großer Auswahl kann man in gut 10 Minuten erreichen. Die Zimmer sind ruhig, es gibt eine Bar mit freundlichem Personal und einen Pool. Die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Hotel sind super, insgesamt war ich hier zufrieden.”

”2 mins walk from the beach where there are some inflatable games for children. It is situated right in the shopping area with restaurants, cafés, ice creams and waffles parlours and boulangeries. Super clean and comfy. We enjoyed our stay. Be aware that there is no elevator. ”

”We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. ”

”Un bel établissement à proximité de Clécy, au grand calme, un endroit en pleine campagne, très reposant. Une grande chambre avec une très bonne literie avec tout le confort. La cuisine est également de bon niveau, sans oublier le petit-déjeuner où rien ne manque. Cerise sur le gâteau, le personnel et la propriétaire sont éminemment sympathiques et accueillants. Petit plus pour les golfeurs, un parcours pas du tout facile mais ô combien agréable, en pleine nature. Nous recommandons...

”Absolutely brilliant hotel, I do highly recommend here if you are planning on staying in Normandy. The Omaha beach is about 45 minute drive away, and Mont St Michel about hour and a half away. The bathroom in my room was bigger than some of the hotel rooms I've stayed, and the bathtub was big enough for even a larger guy like me to sink completely into. The staff was friendly and spoke very good english, unfortunately for me I stayed on Monday, when the Michelin-starred restaurant was closed....
