”The receptionist Adam was absolutely fabulous. Not only did he assist us but was observed helping other guests even when he was away from the desk (on his break).. The buffet dinner and the breakfast had a good selection and was plentiful so you could choose how big or small a portion suits you”

”Lovely hotel with lovely traditional decor. We had a room with the beautiful lake view. Spacious, very clean room & bathroom. All Staff very helpful. Davinia, Dave & Alex at reception very nice & friendly. Food was Very good. Special thanks to waiter Andrew who brought us a plate saying "happy 40th anniversary" in chocolate. Spa & pool was lovely and relaxing. Boat cruise to Bowness was also relaxing and very interesting. ”

”I stayed here for two nights away on business. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The facilities are fantastic. If you get to use the pool and gym etc. they are very good and worth a bit of time. Especially at the end of a long day. Parking is very convenient and the staff are helpful and professional. One of the best village hotels I’ve been too. ”

”Our stay here was great. Firstly the negative, please ensure you liaise with the hotel if you have any level ground access requirements as these are not clearly posted or described. Secondly the halls are a little narrow and dated but this doesn’t reflect on our stay. The level of service upon arrival was nothing short of exceptional. When asked about disability entrance, a member of the team happily left their station of serving evening meals to personally walk us to the entrance and escort us...

”Such a lovely hotel very clean and modern, rooms were lovely too, we had 3 rooms all very new and fresh two with sea view which was great. Bathrooms lovely too all modern with showers. Staff were lovely and friendly the entertainment was great so we’re the entertainment staff. Music and bingo was great, drinks were flowing nicely. Only downfall was the lifts are tiny we had a wheelchair had to take the peddles of to get it in it just about fitted. We will definitely be staying there again ”
