”The room was large and spotless. What stood out was the excellent customer service by the front desk person Zach. He was extremely helpful during our two nights. I would recommend this hotel to any visitor to Winchester.”

”I was visiting from the United States. The hotel was very nice. The front desk staff was excellent getting us a taxi to the port. There was only one gentleman who had not a very nice attitude and he worked at the bar, tall white guy. I had a handicap room that I did not care for, but that was all that was available when I checked in overall The hotel was nice.”

”A historical unique gem of an Inn in Winchester. Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Clean and well appointed room. Delicious dinner at the pub/restaurant downstairs. No elevator but staff was helpful carrying luggage upstairs to our room. This was a perfect stopover stay prior to our cruise out of Southampton.”

”Running Horse is very quaint and cozy. The dini g options are very nice and the service natural and friendly. My husband and my inlaws stayed for only one night and were very happy with the accommodations. The countryside is beautiful.”

”Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not...
