The charm and character of this property, its staff and patrons should be considered a national treasure. Honestly the Ostrich was chosen for location to Heathrow and its reasonable price. The history, the pub atmosphere, the food and drink made for a wonderful experience. I would recommend anyone who wants to experience real “ London” check this place out.

Very cool that it is the age it is. Rooms are newer and perfectly fine, but our was street facing with no opening windows (probably because it would feel like a bus was driving through our room), but I would not want that again. I appreciate fresh air. Mostly great staff, just they could not find our reservation when we arrived. Blamed it on it being Expedia.

It's convenient for Heathrow airport parking for all terminals. We have stayed here twice before when it was owned by Shepherd Neame but since it changed hands it appears no maintenance work has been carried out. Our room had polystyrene attached below the sink witch I assume was covering missing tiles, the sink had a hair line crack in it and the lower grouting in the shower was discoloured, something a good scrub with mould and mildew killer would sort out. The food available in the bar/restaurant lacked choice and was below par compared to the food they used to serve.

Very nice accommodation for flights at Heathrow. Bedrooms well equipped, clean and very comfortable bed. I was a little disappointed with the dining experience, both dinner and breakfast. I felt I had to ask for items that should have accompanied the meals.

The Ostrich Inn is conveniently located near Heathrow Airport. We enjoyed our idiosyncratic room with the large bathroom. The restaurant décor was quite charming.

This property has a lot of heritage. It was really neat staying in a hotel of that vintage yet with updated accommodations. The dining area was most enjoyable and the food excellent. There was easy public access to terminal five, which is why we rented a room there. Other than that, there is not much to do in the area close by.

It's a unique old building with comfortable rooms. The rooms are away from the bar but you can still easily hear guests going into the rooms across from you and the sound does carry through a bit from above.

We loved staying here, and wished we had booked more than one night! We all felt cozy and when we called ahead, we were able to check in early, which was fantastic.

The Ostrich Inn was the perfect place for our final evening in the UK. We had a lovely pub dinner, an excellent sleep in our spacious room, and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the inn. Getting to Heathrow for our early morning flight could not have been easier. We will be back!

Great hotel with fantastic staff. We had a lovely meal by the open fire. Room was well equipped. Really interesting history associated with the hotel. So nice to stay in a place with character.

Old World History meets Present Day Luxury
I absolutely loved this Inn- super friendly staff, with great food and drinks at the restaurant. The locals come here too; one of them walked me through the space and shared his memories of it over the years. My room was huge and had terrific amenities. So close to Heathrow so made an early morning departure much easier. Highly recommend this incredible historic inn, especially if you're looking for something in close proximity to Heathrow or Windsor.

Excellent place to stay before flying out from Heathrow. Great evening meal and breakfast. Much better than staying in a purpose built airport hotel. Will definitely use again when travelling from Heathrow

We enjoyed our stay here. This hotel has such an interesting history. We were comfortable. We ate in the dining room and the food was delicious. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. We took an Uber to the airport in the morning. It cost us £16 plus £5 fee for the Uber to be able to drop us off at the airport. We’d definitely stay at this hotel again.

If you want something authentically English not hotel chain with a combination of historic interest, quirky build and modern convenience then this is a must!!! It’s not perfect but a property this old why should you expect that?? It’s immaculately clean and perfect for purpose with understanding, tentative staff who clearly love the property

Alternative overnight
This is our third visit, always to meet an early morning plane with grandchildren... The Ostrich is just a much more lively and interesting pace to overnight than a standard chain hotel !
