”Absolutely beautiful property! Staff and bartenders are excellent! Pool Bar is great. Food is wonderful. View is perfect and the pool is perfect! Room amenities perfect. One complaint- directional signage to your room is awful. Listen to the desk clerks directions and make sure you know where to go. The signs will drive you crazy!”

”Beware where it says a 3 minute walk to the Terminal from the Motel. You can see the hotel from the Terminal but it’s on top of a steep hill. If you’re carrying cases it’s almost impossible unless you’re a young athlete. So be prepared for a $25 taxi bill to go less than a half mile and another $25 to get back to the terminal the next morning.”

”We had a two-storey room with a sea view and it was really nice. The view was amazing over a black beach facing the island of Moorea. The service in the hotel was good. The restaurant was full on Friday and you have to take a taxi to get to Papeete so if you want to eat in the hotel make sure to make a table reservation in advance. The breakfast buffet was not much but as it was not included in our stay we preferred a la carte breakfast which was good and affordable. ”

”Beautiful and unique “hobbit cabins” in far south Tahiti… two warm pools, fish ponds, amazing flowers and foliage, fantastic sunsets, great breakfast. Be aware that the bungalows are open to the elements and there may be a short uphill walk from the parking lot. Nets are provided for the beds and we didn’t have a serious issue with bugs. ”This hotel is very close to the port and the staff were very helpful Which is important when a large amount of passengers are checking out to get to the ship while others are checking in and having to use a very tight space for all the luggage at the front desk. But the Hotel Kon Tiki has some of the lowest rates to get a great bed in a clean facility in Papeete. But also don't expect a King's suite for a low price. ”Pros: good location, clean, new. Cons: This is a very, very basic room. There was a desk, but no outlets to plug in a laptop, and no lights on or above the desk. No amenities like a coffee maker, toiletries (a bar of soap or tissues would be nice), microwave or refrigerator.
