This could have been a lovely stay in L'Estartit but unfortunately the hotel failed to deliver.
Our main issue was a persistent and overpowering smell of sewage coming from the shower drain of our room. We reported this twice to the front desk and were kindly reassured they would resolve the issue. Unsurprisingly, they did not. Eventually we complained again and the director moved us to another room but not without stressing that we must check out immediately and couldn't check in again until many hours later - so they could move someone else into the sewage smelling room...
To make matters worse, the new room wasn't cleaned well enough and there were shards of glass in the shower which my wife cut her foot on.
Disappointing and frustrating - we will not be back here or at any other gaiarooms property.
