Almost at the top of Algonquin peak! As you leave the forest behind and enter the high alpine zone, there's nothing but exposed rock covered in delicate moss and lichen. To mark the trail, these piles of rocks called Carins were built. They're also a great place to stop and admire the gorgeous Adirondacks! #Takeahike
