”The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were quite small, but nicely decorated. The one thing that bothered us was that the first room we got, smelled so badly of mold we had to change rooms. The breakfast was in a beautiful restaurant and it was quite nice, but the chairs were so dirty I couldn't sit on the one in my table because I had a white skirt on. The hotel is beautiful, but in need of tlc.”

”This amazing place has everything for a stay in a unique building in peaceful and quiet surroundings. The old rectory house is a lovely building with so much character. It is located in a quiet area and within walking distance to Arrow Valley country park which has some lovely walks, scenery and wildlife. ”Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

”Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just...

”The staff were lovely especially the young man who checked us in and explained everything we needed. The food was fantastic we ate at the pub that night and stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was fantastic .”
