”Lovely place to stay, the hosts where very accomadating and couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast each morning was great i'm a vegetarian and had plenty to choose from. Location was spot on easy access to Scarborough, filey, robin hoods bay and whitby among others. Very clean Thank you for a lovely stay.”

”Nice big room and bathroom, the only downside was staying there during a hot spell and the bathroom got the sum very early morning and the bedroom for the rest of the day making it unbearable to sleep in, even though there was a fan provided. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed properly so with shuffling due to the heat it didnt stay on for long. Great location and a good base for visiting the area and plenty of parking. We had breakfast but wished we hadnt as it was very disappointing when...

”The room was very cold with no additional blankets. The food was rushed and under cooked. The breakfast started and eight there were no staff to service us even though we had informed the night before we needed to leave asap therefore we had to leave without breakfast. All in all not a good experience”

”Although clean enough inside, the outside is infested with seagull nests and droppings. The building amenities were acceptable to poor, The bath plug did not have a chain, so needed to be pried out with a spoon handle. The coffee and tea soon ran out and didn't have any idea where to get replacements. The Coffee percolator did not work at all. ”Had a very nice stay here. It is the first time we stayed. We had a larger room. It was very clean & newly decorated, such a bonus. For the price it was excellent, would recommend it. Staff were friendly. It was a good location for the town. Meals available, we did not use the these facilities, so carn't comment. We would stay here again. ”

Shower cubicle tiles broken sealant black and soaps not new. bottles half refilled. Dust everywhere carpet dirty poor quality coffee in rooms. No one around at check out to advise of issues”

”Our room was in the Old Swan,it is a property that the Old Lodge must own. It's a few minutes walk from the lodge.It was ok but wouldn't stay again. Breakfast was lovely,fresh fruit, croissants, everything cooked to order. The only niggle was that we went for a drink in the lounge about 9 o clock,and it was just staff stood there ,one was swearing,which I don't think was acceptable in a posh establishment and while guests were present . Check in staff were lovely,but we won't be staying again.”
