”All very good ”

”From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

”Room 7 extractor fan not working. Both windows can’t be propped open. No mirror over desk so hairdryer cannot be plugged in near a mirror. Shower floods bathroom floor. All staff tried hard but were overstretched. At breakfast many things were only available if asked for. Evening meals not good value for money. This is not a 4 star hotel. ”

”Decor is beautiful & the bathroom stunning. Easy access & communication was great. The bed for us was very uncomfortable and far too firm. The duck down feather pillows were too soft & offered no support. The bath was the best feature. Breakfast & room facilities were good too and the property is nice & close to the centre. Parking not too far away either. ”

”The breakfast was wonderful - but the room was not great - it was right next to an alley where people were drinking/smoking into the night; so pretty noisy (no double-glazing). There was no shampoo and the mirror light kept going on and off! The hotel is undergoing renovations which might be the problem. Wouldn’t recommend for now, despite much appreciating the breakfast. ”

”First, you can't check in till 5pm. Second, the shower is small and slippery when wet. When I mentioned that I'd nearly fallen twice and it needed a non-slip mat, I was told can't be done as this would be an admission that there is a problem. Plus, the light in the bathroom is on a motion sensor timer and kept cutting out leaving me in the shower, in the dark. It sounds comical but with the slippery shower base and total darkness, it wasn't funny. I had to open the shower door and wave my arm to...

”Staff were incredible and helpful for all our requests including local landmarks, the room was very clean. My only feedback would be there there seemed to be a certain ventilator fan hum throughout the night ; we got used to that but the establishment might want to check that - Thanks for a lovely stay!”

”Fabulous motel, staff were so lovely & friendly. Room was so clean and decorated beautifully, only down fall I would say is the streaming on the telly so complicated messing with WiFi settings to get it going. But has to channels anyway, ample parking, restaurant was lovely m&s garage in walking distance to. All in all a lovely stay & the drink vouchers for my partners 30th birthday was such a lovely treat. ”
