With all the greenery and plants everywhere, this hotel is beautiful to walk into. Check in was great, we arrived early and were able to leave our bags until it was time to check in. We also did this on our last day, as we had a late flight. The room was adequate, comfy bed and big shower. Just be aware that there is a frosted glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom (in the room we were in anyway). You can't see in, but it is bright into the bedroom during the night - if that bothers you. There is no fridge in the room which we found hard as we had bought some of our own drinks and snacks. Breakfast was okay, and the gym is really good. The pool is in the centre of the building and looks amazing, has a glass roof above, which is partially open. I was a bit apprehensive about swimming becuase of the location (near the breakfast area etc), but it was fine, and quite relaxing. The location is fantastic. You are about a 25 min walk to Malioboro Street, and the next street along has some great restaurants.

The hotel is stylish and relaxing. The location is close to lots of dining and shops but located in a quiet area. The pool, lobby, and restaurant all occupy one large space but it feels less like a hotel and more like a tropical rain forest inside. The lush greenery is breathtaking and refreshing. Every detail is carefully chosen to fit the aesthetic design of the hotel. I highly recommend the breakfast upgrade for guests but even without including it in the room price, the food is a great value and did not disappoint. The selection of both Western and Indonesian cuisine in addition to the fresh fruit juices made eating at the Art Kitchen Resto a treat. One other thing to mention is the dedication to sustainable tourism. The hotel does a wonderful job at helping to make guests aware of eco-friendly options such as reusable glass bottles in guestrooms instead of disposable plastic and signage about disposing of items properly instead of flushing it to preserve clean oceans. I definitely plan to stay again.

Lovely green oasis in Jogja!
Truly great hotel with very comfortable beds, relaxing pool in a lush green setting, tasty breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. One minor point of improvement is that the bathroom could use a little update, but still very clean and everything you need. Staff is very accommodating, provided a breakfast box when we went on our sunrise trip to Borobudur and let us use the facilities after check-out.

Pleasant stay
Stayed over a week and it feels like a second home for me. Location can't be more perfect, plenty of good restaurants and cafes around. The room is so comfortable, pool and gym are great. The restaurant has plenty of vegetarian menu too which is perfect for me. The staff are super helpful and friendly.

Fantastic stay, with an accommodating staff and plenty of activities. Take the cooking course; excellent memories. The breakfast was reasonable and the rooms comfortable.

Great atmosphere here and a terrific restaurant/cafe by the pool. Liked the eco-friendly amenities (few plastic bottles here). It was a long, hot walk to the palace and other attractions required taxi rides. We would return here.

The hotel concept was really great with luscious green and friendly staffs. Checked-in was swift and request were attended to promptly. Food were great as well. The location is near to some nice cafes and famous ice cream place. Definitely worth the experience staying at Greenhost Boutique Hotel.

ホテルの雰囲気はとても良かったです。 隣の通りが外国人用のメインの通りのようで ホテル内レストラン以外も徒歩圏内にあります。 ホテル1階のレストランは夜は蚊がいますが、 食事もリーズナブルで安定した味です。 プールも使用しましたが水も綺麗でした。 3階からは朝日と夕日が見れます。 一つ日本語でチェックインカウンターがないので事前に連絡が必要、24時間チェックイン出来ると書いていますが、間違いです。 チェックインカウンターあります。 チェックインは14時からです。 空港への送迎は有料でした。

The design is brilliant - love the open courtyard spaces, well designed planting and furniture. Location is lovely, though I was woken up by the early morning call to prayer on my first night, but I was able to sleep through the following nights with no problem. Staff is friendly and interesting mix of clientele also gives this hotel unique vibe.

The place was very well decorated and on point. The staff worked really hard to make sure we were getting what we needed. We were surprised that there was very little to do around the hotel and not a ton of places we could walk to.

Hotel unique concept environmentally conscious. Hydroponic plants growing everywhere. Lush green vegitation drapes down several floors inside central atrium falling to lobby. Rooms clean, functional perfectly adequate but not luxurious. Nice breakfast buffet. Near restaurants

Very simplistic and loved the whole concept of the hotel! Every place in the world needs to run this way to help our Earth! It was a little hard to adjust to only getting the air conditioning on when you're physically in which room with the key. So after a long day in Jogjakarta the room would be hot

Amusing! Not your typical hotel.
The hotel concept was amusing. Location was close to cafes and restaurants with majority foreign visitors. The air-condition in the room #118 was not cold, ask for assistance and it work for a while but night time wasn't cold again. The breakfast spread was good, however it's the similar each day. Overall stay was good and would return.

Nice clean cosy hotel
Greenhost is exactly as what you see in the photos. Clean and green. One thing I like to point out is they still follow a noon check in policy, as compared to "24hrs check-in" mentioned in hotels.com, I interpretated it as "anytime of the day" you can check-in. Transport from airport to hotel cost you approx. IDR 53k (grab) or the airport service at IDR 90k. Taxis and other flag down will cost around IDR 100k-150k depending on your negotiation. Do note that if by grab, you would need to walk out of the airport (was told around 0.7-11KM away) to its designated grab pickups as this is the local agreement that grab cars are not allowed to pick you directly at the airport. Around the hotel, on the parallel stretch of the location are various cafes, restaurants, and bars that you can visit. However, hotel is around 40mins on foot to the nearest night market (or tourist area) at Malioboro, so quite a distance if you decided to travel by foot. This should not be a deal breaker as grab is affordable approx. IDR 20,000 onwards. Otherwise you can take any motorised rickshaws provided by the locals probably at a slightly higher "tourist" price if you don't mind the experience for a 10-15mins ride. On a personal level, I don't really fancy concrete floor for a hotel room, as I would preferred them carpeted. Sound proof windows were a little light. Nonetheless call services were prompt and room kept tidied. So if you don't mind the above it should be as good as other hotels.

Individuelles Hotel. Gute Lage, zu Fuß 20 min in die Innenstadt. Viele Restaurants im Umkreis von 600 m. Lage ruhig. Einzig um 4 Uhr morgens weckt einem der Muezzin - allerdings wurden nur 2 von 4 Personen wach. Schöner Pool und tolle Bar auf dem Dach.

Great spa, good location. Nasty bathrooms though
The hotel was in a good area near restaurants. The hotel itself was nice, decorated very minimal and simple. Only drawback were that the bathrooms were moldy. The grout could use a good deep cleaning or re-grouting, as it was a bit off-putting when showering. We were originally put in a room that smelled funky and moldy, noticed the shower was gross so we changed rooms. The 2nd room smelled better, but grout was gross too. Breakfast was ok, the cereal was stale. All in all, staff were nice. The masseuses at Tea Spa were great.

Cool hotel with great vibe in central Yogya.
We loved Greenhost; its cool and modern decor and general vibe. The whole area is full of plants. The breakfast is good and we enjoyed the pool - though it's rather odd and lacks privacy having it next to the dining area and the rooms can be a bit noisy as there are often families in the pool in the early morning. The bar on the 4th floor is not to be missed. It’s very chilled and they had a live band when we were there. Highly recommended.

Stay for a vacation for 8 days. Breakfast was excellent with choices of local food variety... Hotel was room was good n decent, location was very quite away from the BZ city. Hotel staff was very polite n helpful and service was efficient Will definitely come back again in near future Well done

It's quite a pleasant experience. Minimalist and eco styled hotel. However, not much to do around the neighbourhood. Convenience store is about 15mins walk away, which is a bit of a hassle. Spent most of the time having hotel service or eating within the hotel because of that. Saw quite a few ants crawling around our toothbrush and around the room, might be because of the eco features like having plants around the room if I never remember wrongly.
