”For a three bedroom (sleeps six) cottage this is great value. It's generally in satisfactory condition. OK, the garden and cottage could do with sprucing up a bit but it's a good place to stay. There is plenty of car parking space around the back, and a large village (Kelsall) two miles away”
”What a beautiful place this is! Absolutely amazing scenery. Quiet and relaxing. Breakfast is included and we were expecting a cold buffet. Oh no, full English or really, whatever you wanted. We went for poached eggs on toast and they were perfect. I would certainly recommend this beautiful little part of Cheshire. ”
”Lovely, friendly staff. Only complaint about stay, there were only two sheets of toilet roll in the bedroom bathroom. Had to use our tissues from our car.
Had a nice meal in restaurant. Good selection. Pork dish had to be sent back as meat pink in middle. Not ideal. But fish delicious.

My daughter loved the fries from the night before that much that she asked for them again for breakfast 😅 As weird a request it was at 9am, they did them for her. I think things like that really go a long way. We’ll definitely be staying again.”

booking was easy and Hotels.com very helpful in how to upgrade room. We initially booked a standard room at a very good price especially as it included breakfast, However the standard bedrooms have a shower over the bath and so anyone with mobility issues might find this difficult to access. We paid for an upgrade and what a wonderful Superior room it was. Huge with a long bathroom with bath and a double shower and beautifully soft towels...
”Very nice property with friendly staff. Location is a short walk to town where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops.
The majority of the rooms are in the building across the parking lot from the hotel restaurant and river. Partial view river views look across the parking lot and are quite limited but pleasant. ”
