Loistava sijainti
Hotellin sijainti oli ihan loistava! Myös aamiainen oli loistava. Hotelli oli oikein siisti ja hyvin hoidettu. Huone on pieni, mutta toimiva. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja palvelualtista. Portaikko oli kaunis, myös lasimaalaukset viehättävät.

Viihtyisä hotelli
Siisti ja Viihtyisä hotelli kaupungin keskustassa pitempääkin majoittumiseen. Erinomainen aamupala.

Dissapointing
The room for one person appointed to me was nothing like the pictures or the information I was given on the email from Hotels.com about the room. I already went through the previous reviews and it must be the same room that some people were already disappointed about. The items missing that were told about on the email were a fridge and a safety deposit box, neither to be found. It was really small and the lighting was very low, with the window showing a view towards the conditioning system of the hotel. The TV was either outdated or there was something wrong with the picture, since it showed me everything behind a blur. The bathroom was not cleaned as well as rooms usually are, and the pillow sheet in my room had a big stain in it. But I honestly don’t have the courage to march back to the lobby to ask why the room was not what I thought I was promised, as I picked this hotel due to it seeming like a very comfortable stay. The service on the desk was good – thanks for that. Location is also excellent.

One night in Aberdeen
One night in Aberdeen. Got the room early, which was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were smallish, but good and the price was excellent. Location is central. Only thing that could be improved is that the windows were not fantastic and there was a storm outside, so it was somewhat loud.

Hotelli oli aivan keskustassa ja mukavan käcelymatkan päässä Aberdeenin yliopistosta. Yllätyin huoneiden kauneutta ja ennenkaikkea siisteyttä. Henkilökunta mukavaa ja auttavaista. Tässä on minun vakihotellini vuosien ajan, jonka tytär opiskelee Aberdeenissä. Ai niin, aamupala todella kallis 14,90 puntaa joka on euroissa reilusti yli 20. Ihmeen kallis.

Great location and the rooms are modern, spacious and very clean. Breakfast continues to be of average quality. Stayed Sunday overnight - an incredible amount of loud booming music noise coming from the clubs across the railway bridge, until 2 am, resulting in only getting 4-5 hours of sleep. Also, the room we were in (115) did have a very bright light, right outside the window, which did shine right through into the room.

This hotel was the perfect stay in Aberdeen! It was so close to everything and the staff was so nice. There were some minor issues with cleanliness but they remedied them very quickly. I would stay here again.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel is in really good location, easy walking distance for transport, shops and dining options. The downfall of the hotel is its interior, its in need of a serious update, we have stayed here a few times and on our last visit said we would not be back, it has been a year or so since then and we see the difference, our standard room was very small, it should have been for a single person, you just about fell onto the bed as you entered the room, there was a single wardrobe and a single bedside table, no place to store luggage, furnishings in the room were chipped and marked, the wall at the bed had holes, the bottom of the beding and carpet was stained. The bathroom wasn't any better, the water from the shower had a poor water flow, taps were difficult to turn, the few fittings were loose. The hotel was just not what you would expect for a four star, the tea/coffee in the room was sparse. The only good points were the staff and the location.

Complimentary upgrade to a really lovely spacious room overlooking union terrace. WiFi not working in the property - advised long after check-in. Reception staff not always around when needed in evening or morning. Breakfast offering fair - service a little unfriendly initially then mellowed and became friendly. Parking limited at rear of property, golden square very nearby and good value. Overall, a good hotel, with just some tweaks in customer service needed.

Wine bar opposite hotel partying till 2am. Windows are old single glazed sash type, did nothing to dull the noise. So if in a Union Gardens facing room, be prepared to be kept awake. Staff were excellent, as was breakfast. Room was spotless. Just the noise. Would stay again but would be sure to get a room to the rear of the property without a view.

The property is very dated and the noise at night was terrible. Very hard to sleep. Also the room was cold. I think they need to invest in d0uble or triple glazing.

Room is very amazing, I don’t had great night sleep because street light so very bright thank you street light got led lol. I can’t complain by hotel and I enjoy room and so relax room for me. Staff is so friendly only arrive.

Birthday stay
This was part of a birthday trip for my husband. The staff were absolutely wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is in a fantastic location but is a bit tired and in need of a good overhaul. Despite this we had a great time and thank the Caledonian Hotel very much.

Hotel public areas are fine but the rooms are extremely dated and quite depressing! Breakfast was fine.

An old Aberdeen hotel which has maintained high standards. Nice lounge area & very good food. Tiny car park is a problem

Room was OK. Disappointing view into inner yard. No view other than brick wall. Yard acts a noise tunnel and enhances sound especially the drainage when neighbours use shower. Walls not so well sound proof, could hear everything from our neighbours. Hotel could do with some tlc. Over then that our room was clean and well equipped. We would stay again but ask for room facing front (terrace)
