”It’s great when you can support an independent motel instead of the big chains. We enjoyed a clean comfortable shower and sleep in a comfortable very well kept little motel. The a/c was wonderful, cool, with a steady sound that never awakened me the way the ones at too many other hotels have on our cross country trip. ”

”This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one...

”Overall, excellent. We stayed 2 nights in winter. Roads were clear. A few other homes in sight but strong sense of privacy. Heating and cooking were good. Good tmobile data reception. Didnt try streaming. TV with DVD player and HDMI input. Driveway is between Bonnynook Rd intersection and american flag. Home is very clean and well equipped for your stay. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Top rating.”

”We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling. OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in. Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently. Our kids loved it. ”This was first time in the area, We had most wonderful stay at hodge podge lodge. The house was beautiful and sparking clean, well organized and have everything what we needed for stay. It located in nice neighborhood near soda spring ski resort. The house was warm and cozy , heater was good , wood stove was nice touch with plenty of firewood supplies. The bedroom was spacious and beds were comfortable. It was big plus to have easy in and out drive way to the house. We definitely recommend...
