We spend one night in William Wallace room and it was really cool! Book it if you can. It is worth of every penny. The second night we were at regular room at ground level. It was clean and nice room.
Lots of parking space.
The Dungeon restaurant was very nice experience, food was very good.
Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choises.
The castle grounds offers interesting hikes and beautiful scenery.

”Upealla paikalla tämä vanha sairaalana toiminut hotelli. Meillä oli kaksi huonetta varauksessa eri kategosiasta. Edullisempi huone oli parempi ja toinen huone mikä oli kalliimpi oli remontoimaton mutta isompi. Remontoidut huoneet ovat ihanat, eli kannattaa panostaa sellaiseeen. Hotelli hyvitti toisen huoneen samaan hintaan mutta huono maku jäi sen suhteen. Aamiainen on vähän sotkuinen eikä mikään ihmeellinen, perusbuffetti. Kävelymatka Peeblesiin jossa voi iltaisin käydä syömässä. Spa osastoa...
”We really enjoyed the beer garden in the afternoon. The wait staff at the bar, dinner and breakfast were very good. The room was a little small but very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice too. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.”

Only criticism I have is the first impression on entering the bedroom block......was how dirty the carpet on the floor and stairs is which made me wonder if I should have booked the property. But entering the bedroom changed that idea and all was well.”
