Mitä lähistöllä:

Getting to place during the night was a horrible nightmare. The directions they gave us were wrong, taking us down a really dangerous road that we ended up having to back out of so that we didn’t drive off a cliff with our children inside! THEN… The code they sent me to lockbox a bunch of times (email, app and via text) was wrong. So once we finally found the place (by ignoring the directions) it was the middle of the night 12:30am - after a full travel day, my kids were frightened and we couldn’t get into the cabin, it was dark, cold, they had to go to the bathroom. AND we had no phone service to call the company. My husband headed back up to hill, called them, and they couldn’t find our reservation (there is also no internet service whatsoever). Meanwhile I was back at the house, trying every door (unsuccessful) and then every window. Finally found a window and crawled in. For what we paid, I can’t believe the trauma we experienced. I didn’t expect this from a professional vacation company - we use pro companies so that we DON’T have experiences like this. For future guests, the directions need to be updated, and because they are sending guests to a remote location, they need to make sure there is proper signage to find the correct road (no street signs on any of them). Honestly, just don't arrive after the sun goes down. It is not worth the danger we experienced. We contacted the company several times afterward, and got ZERO response. Never booking with this company again.

June 3-5 Experience
Good morning, Thank you for allowing us to rent your house for last weekend. We had a great time, despite the weather not being to nice. A couple things I wanted to bring up: 1) Dock looks like it must have collapsed within the last couple of weeks. Would have been nice to have this information communicated prior to arrival. I would also recommend getting someone out there ASAP to remove collapsed doc and live wires in the water. 2) Hot Tub was not usable, as the water color was brown and did not looked to have been cleaned in quite some time. 3) No outdoor firepit as advertised. Did have indoor firepit, but the wood provided was green and wet and was not burnable, which defeated the opportunity to use the indoor fireplace. 4) One of the bathrooms/ toilets was not useable downstairs. You have an incredible property and beautiful view, just wished the items above would have been pointed out to us prior to us renting and spending a lot of $ to enjoy the house. Want to ensure future guests have a clear expectation prior to renting in the future. Thanks Graham

NOT FOR ANYONE WITH INFIRMITY OF ANY KIND!! OVER PRICED
Hello I am writing to discuss the condition of this property. Firstly, this is an absolutely beautiful setting with a fantastic view of the lake. If the view and setting were indicative of the home then this would be a fantastic rental property. Also, the hot tub works well and those who used it loved it. However, this property has not met my expectations and raised serious concerns about Vacasa and your standards for the following reasons: 1. The house is old and out of kilter. My husband and I are elderly. There are uneven floors, loose stair treads, loose wobbly interior stair rails, etc. make it difficult to safely move about the home. This isn't being too picky. These are extreme dangers. The downstairs kitchen is on a concrete slab. There is a large chunk of concrete missing. This has been covered and camouflaged by a rug having been placed over it. This is another safety hazard. Only upon final email were we told about house settling issues to be aware of. At that point. even if we had concerns about our safety,, it was too late for us to make a shift or request a refund. 2. The queen beds sag in the middle. The mattresses seem adequate but unsupported. 3. The only bathing facility for an elderly person is the downstairs walk-in which was unsafe for my husband to get to. The upstairs tub is a claw foot which neither of us could safely negotiate and there are no handrails. No shower on the main level Is unacceptable. 4. Amenities I expect for this price were absent. No luggage stands or any surface to hold luggage in the bedrooms. No kleenex. No napkins. Minimal toilet paper. No place (adequate counter space) in bathrooms to set cosmetics, etc. No dishwasher soap. No food storage (plastic wrap, baggies, etc.) Save a small roll of aluminum foil. Only a partial roll of paper towel. NO HOT MATS to remove things from the oven. ONLY ONE kitchen towel. No coffee grinder (except an antique hand grinder that appears to be a decoration only). 5. Beetles in the downstairs bedroom. Dirty dishes in the cupboards. Dirty cupboards. One bowl had what appeared to be chili all around the outside base of the bowl. The rafters in the downstairs shower room are dirty and clearly have not been dusted in a very extended period of time. 6. Dirt and dead bugs under the piano which is located by the stairs so one sees them on the way up the stairs. 7. The dock is so far below the house (60 stairs) infirm people should not stay here if they hope to

Cozy
This is a great place to settle into, and have a few good nights with old friends. The views are spectacular on the lake in the mornings and evenings. It’s an old log cabin so not everything is perfect, but that makes it fun. A couple of the mattresses could be upgraded for a more comfortable sleep in the large bedrooms, (you tend to roll to the middle.) Overall the experience was fantastic, and I’d book another long weekend for sure.

Great cabin
Wonderful cabin. Perfect location on the lake. Booked for hot tub use, fire pit and lake location. Didn’t have a fire pit on site and hot tub wasn’t operational. Listing didn’t state that though. Could use some basic kitchen items being so far out of town. Didn’t have trash bags for when we took out the trash. Very difficult to contact property manager. Finally did and no one returned our call. Place has so much potential it’s too bad service wasn’t as great as the location

Cool old log cabin
The road to this property is incredibly windy. Once you turn off the asphalt and onto the gravel/mud road it is a tad challenging to find the house. There are no real signs or markers. You will want a vehicle with adequate clearance and in case of inclement weather the driveway forms a "V" where water accumulates and creates mud. The house itself sits in a nicely secluded wooded area. It is a sprawling old log cabin with all of the quirks that you'd expect (settling/creaks). The furnishings are a hodgepodge of interesting antiques and standard pieces. TVs and electronics are dated. There is only a DVD player and if you have kids you'll want to bring age appropriate movies. There are a number of items around the house that require fixing. The most concerning being an incredibly wobbly tread at the top of the stairs. Second to that are the stairs down to the boat dock and the dock itself which has a pretty massive list to one side. The grounds are uninspiring and could use a good cleaning out of debris. During our stay the ceiling in one of the bedrooms started leaking. We attempted to contact the management company but never received a response. The comfort of the beds are either a complete hit or miss. The highlights of the home are definitely the hot tub and the massive fireplace. Value for money isn't there. For the price, I would hope that more of the money was reinvested in property upkeep. We did enjoy our stay but would set a clear expectation if ever recommending this property to others.

Condon's Cabin
Vacasa management failed to clean the property prior to our arrival. There were unmade beds, trash and dirty dishes. They came out when we called them. The outside fire pit had burned up part of the deck and the repair is inadequate. The cabin itself is well built and well set on the lakefront, however it needs a lot of TLC that it is not getting. We still enjoyed our stay in spite of the conditions. The manager said they would give a credit for failing to clean the cabin, however we haven't seen anything yet.
