”The hotel was the perfect manor experience. The garden area and backyard was lovely. At the beginning of April, it was a little too cool to spend time sitting outside. The breakfast was not quite at the level I would have expected based on the rest of the experience. Quite a limited selection. The staff was very friendly.”

”Fabulous refurb, stayed here about 12 years ago the transformation is absolutely lovely! Stayed in a standard room, which is on the small size but beautifully decorated with everything you need. Particularly liked the L'Occitane toiletries in the stylish bathrooms. The restaurant and casual areas are very stylish, the food, atmosphere and staff were great, and Aberlady is just an adorable quiet location on the doorstep of 22 golf courses, beaches and fabulous walks. ”If I'm honest I didn't expect much due to the price
It was almost three times cheaper than other options further out of Edinburgh
The room was small but clean and bed comfortable
Cosy with tea and coffee facilities
Hair dryer provided and shower small again but clean and modern
Bonus is the bar downstairs offering a range of drinks including Tennants and Beaver town neck oil. Best take your own travel iron but nothing else really needed

”This has been my favourite find so far. The location is stunning, environment relaxing, the staff are fantastic. I have enjoyed many return visits to dine in the lovely restaurant and to stay. The children feel this is like a home from home and treat some of the staff like family.”

”Amazing old castle! Very friendly and helpful staff. We love you!
We spend one night in William Wallace room and it was really cool! Book it if you can. It is worth of every penny. The second night we were at regular room at ground level. It was clean and nice room.
Lots of parking space.
The Dungeon restaurant was very nice experience, food was very good.
Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of choises.
The castle grounds offers interesting hikes and beautiful scenery.

”It’s an auto check-in, no staff. Everything worked fine. Rooms are decent and is a suitable, inexpensive place to stay. Not much to do in the area, although the Persevere Pub is an excellent stop for a pint and food. ”
