”The hotel is in a great location. There is a diner and a Starbucks you can walk to easily. The hotel was clean, room was clean and the property was well maintained. If youve stayed at Hampton Inn before you know what kind of breakfast they have. Its decent, filling and free. My only issue was the bed was way too soft. If needed though I would stay here again because of its location.”

”What was unique about this hotel was the total disregard the Owners have for its upkeep, staff, amenities and shabby condition it is and has been for years. They should be ashamed that they own it. Two staff members told me that “they were embarrassed to work there.” Everything from the rooms being dirty, bathrooms disgusting, no hot water, breakfast food was totally inedible, the pool was locked up, the staff would yell across the lobby to each other and were dressed like homeless people. ...

”I was able to extend my room stay for a couple of hrs more, for a small fee. The Continental bkfst is adequate. I have used Laquinta many times now. And this is my favorite place to lodge while on short business or personal stays!!!”

”I’ve stayed here several times. Definitely my go-to for lodging in central Long Island. Love the kitchenette in the rooms and well stocked. Front desk staff is very helpful. Easy free parking.”

”When you first pull up to the Whitman you might think, "uh-oh" because the exterior and the reception lobby leave a lot to be desired BUT don't let that fool you, this is an excellent and fairly inexpensive motel/hotel for 1 or 2 nights. The reviews are accurate. The rooms have all been redone to a high standard - (I've stayed at 4 star hotels that were not as nice). The bed was excellent and comfy. ”Super friendly staff! Cozy B&B feel. Great location, walk to town or train station! LIRR and Pines super convenient. Amazing authentic chef made-to-order breakfast!! (And fresh artisanal continental breakfast included). Awesome and cozy speakeasy-style lounge, with special entertainment nights (check in advance). Perfect for short or longer stays. And great as a gateway to Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove (5 mins to ferry! shuttle-style service avail). Huge clean room. Washer dryer....

”Stayed here 5nights while visiting family living nearby. Good size king room, very clean and fantastic staff. The ladies who run the breakfast buffet are great! Housekeeping is awesome. On site laundry on 3rd floor is handy and area was also clean. It’s run remotely by an app you can download to your smartphone. We’d definitely stay here again.”

”Would not stay there again. They charge to park $15 a night, in a parking lot that is shared by another hotel and two restaurants. There are signs posted all around that state that you are parking at your own risk. There were very limited amenities in the room, no coffee packets one day and then only decaf coffee packets in the room another day. Overall it was not a great stay. Would not recommend.”
