This hotel is a 20 minute walk from the city centre and sits at the top of Sandy Bay and is perfect as gives you all of the options. The views from the room (we had mountains) were extraordinary and as a Casino they offer really good value with free parking the hop on hop off bus stops outside and there are always Cabs in the driveway. We didn't eat but the meals we saw all looked excellent and the staff we interacted with were all extraordinary. You are only about 15 mins from a choice of beaches heading into Sandy Bay where you can view what is a excellent sunrise and really clean beaches.

We stayed at the hotel as we went to a show on Saturday night. We had hired a car and the parking was free. Great location - our room overlooked the Derwent River. Would stay there again

The staff were great. Robin at front desk and Rahul doing house keeping were so helpfull they went over and above to help us. Would give them the employee of the month award . Will be staying here the next time we come to Hobart and will be recommending the hotel to every one, thanks again for our stay

Great stay! Lovely view! Only a couple of things for improvement. The lifts were not clean, with floor and walls needing attention. The floor for our room also had a strange odour.

Rooms were clean and modern. We stayed for 2 nights and room was not serviced, so no clean towels or replenished tea, sugar, coffee, had to ask for more at reception. Also phone did not work in room.

No lift, no wifi
We stayed in the motor lodge next to the casino. Room was ok but the building has no elevator- fortunately we were just one flight up - and the wifi was nonexistent. The signal was so weak in our room and in the casino lobby that we couldn’t even connect to it. Amenities at the casino - pool, restaurants, bar, garden - were all a big plus. There’s nothing in the immediate area besides the hotel/casino so we ended up taking a cab to the harbor area.

Memorable view across the water toward the historic town. Spacious suite. Price compared well with similar options. The breakfast buffet, included in the price, was disappointing.

Although the bathroom had previous guest hair on the floor, and while the front reception on check in didn’t engage with me in an open happy way (he provided no context on where the lifts were, what to do once checked in, no chat about hotel facilities) - the room was fantastic in terms of views and comfort. I highly recommend using their pillow menu as the only option in room is soft feather pillows by default (many other hotels in Hobart have a firm pillow and blanket in the wardrobe). Lift access was incredibly slow as there was only one lift slowing down access. Great breakfast at Boardwalk Cafe.

It was easy to get into town either by bus or taxi.Staff were very obliging by getting a tax I if there were none at the Casino rank. Rooms could do with a little thorough cleaning eg. found curtains to be quite dusty.

The only concern we had, was i asked them to put me in a room away from the elevator.... what did they do??? Put me right across from the elevator. Had people talking from 6:00am till late, very frustrating!

The eooms were clean and well equipped.the Motel side was old property and did not feel like a casino, it felt like just a nice motel. The breakfast was a bit of disappointment. For almost $30 /person you can get better food at any cafe. Need to up their game on food.

Room with a view
The view was good. We were on the 15th floor. There was only 1 lift in service but the stay was good and the bed was comfortable.
