”The hotel was wonderful. It is clear that the 17th-century historic building is being maintained with great care and affection. The room was spotlessly clean, and I was able to spend a very comfortable time. The quality of the meals served at the restaurant was also extremely high, and I was very satisfied. I couldn't visit the adjacent Somerset Museum as it was closed, but I look forward to seeing it on my next visit.”

”Wonderful hotel, perfectly located in the town centre. Well appointed rooms and charming throughout. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent. ”

”We had the cooked English breakfast and the eggs royal, which were both excellent. We also enjoyed the generous range of cereals, pastries, breads and drinks available. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful and the room was very clean with stunning views.”

”The Beach Hotel is a social enterprise run by the YMCA as an apprenticeship scheme. In light of this we had quite modest expectations for our stay. But these were misplaced - the hotel is spotlessly clean, and run by professional, welcoming staff. The occasion was a large family reunion, and the restaurant served us all with a good simple dinner in an efficient and timely way. Service was excellent. The location opposite the beach is delightful and quite quiet - and very convenient for the West...
