”Beautiful location. Very dog friendly. We had a king size room overlooking the harbour. It was up a few flights of stairs but this was not an issue for us. Use of guest pantry which was a lovely touch. Very good breakfast menu. All staff were very friendly and helpful. ”

”Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

”The location was stunning. The owners were warm, friendly and very helpful. The evening menu was extensive and what we chose was delicious. ”Unfortunately the pub was closed for our Tuesday night stay. This meant that we had to drive to another pub for our evening meal, which wasn't very good at all. Also meant that as the driver I couldn't have a drink. Which was the whole idea of staying at the Hood Arms was an evening in an old pub. Breakfast was supurb as was the room. Great place to stay just not (currently) on a Monday or Tuesday. Landlord was really appologetic and very helpful.”

”Stopped here overnight whilst walking the South West Coast Path. Very clean and comfortable room with everything I needed after 16 miles of walking and ahead of 20 miles the next day! Lovely period hotel, fabulous sash windows, high ceiling, warm and cosy room, really nice feel to the place. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. Extensive breakfast menu, all cooked to order. I had a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Would highly recommend. ”
