”Property has a wonderful view of the river and polite and helpful staff. We only had a minor issue with the towels for our room were very damp and when we requested replacements, those were damp also. This could just have been a one off situation. The Mountain view faces the train tracks and new construction that is underway on the other side of the tracks so try and book River view if it’s available. ”

”Tierra viva was probably my favorite hotel in our 12 night honeymoon- i cant recommend it enough. Book room 504 (junior suite), trust me! It has a large balcony overlooking the urabamba river, with a view both up and down the river. ”The hotel was under construction when we visited, and the renovation sounds continued until late evening. In addition, there are some nightclubs/bars close-by that had loud music through the whole night so we didn’t sleep that much. ”The reason for 4 stars is the noise in the building. The rooms have no outside windows but the window is into a small courtyard and the noise travels up very easily.
