”It seems like a smaller business. The staff were very polite and helpful. We had a standard room with japanese style breakfast and dinner. Both were good experiencies. Also reserved the private bath which was nice with a good view. Room was newly renovated and cozy. Daily activities in Nara combined with the hotel was one of our best days in Japan. Would highly recommend”

”I ended up being super late due to unforseen circumstances and wasnt able to check in properly, however, there was a clear map with instructions in the entrance allowing me to still get in and get to sleep as well as meet with property owner the mext morning to clear things up. My room was clean, the place was nice, my bed was comfortable and the owner was very understanding and homely.”

”This traditional merchant house converted hotel is lovely. We own the entire building with two floors. One tiny living room on the ground floor, a bath house, a separate toilet near the entrance, along with a spacious bathroom with the second living room on the second floor. It’s airy and full of scent of wood. However, the bedroom is facing the road without sound proof windows, it was very noisy throughout the night. ”

”築100年以上の文化財ということで、大変趣のあるお宿でした。 お部屋は二階に泊まらせていただきましたが、小さい子どもがいたので足音などが下のお部屋に響く心配がありました。小さいお子さんがいる場合、一階の方がいいかもしれません。 お風呂は時間帯と混み具合によっては貸切にさせてもらえるということで、我が家は家族で入らせてもらいました。子ども達も大喜びでした。 窓にカーテンなどがないので、外から見えないかが気になったり、朝日が眩しくて子ども達がとても早起きになるということはありました。”

”The hotel is above a little restaurant. Meals are not included, but they are very good traditional Japanese food. The place is literally right behind the Biei train station, which is an ideal location for pretty much everything. The owners didn't speak too much English, but I was able to make due with my limited Japanese. The AC in the room was weak, but being Hokkaido all I had to do was open the window with the screen and my room was perfect.”
