The map shows the village. Go up the A820 to get to the real sights. My shot here is up the Glen and out the other side. I am looking towards Glen Coe but standing in the river Etive which then flows left and down Glen Etive which is also well worth a visit and often over looked by tourists. Unless looking for the Skyfall location shot as now shown on Google maps. FYI the mountain is Buachaille Etive Mor.
While hunting for whiskey in downtown Fort William we spotted a picture of an old abandoned boat on the wall. The teller wasn’t sure where it was located, but we knew it had to be close. So we took to satellite maps and searched the nearby shores hoping for a hint. Sure enough, there it sat about three miles down shore. We dashed there for sunset, just in time for Ben Nevis to peak out from behind the clouds. #adventure

Yöpymispaikka oli ihan hyvä, perus hotelli. Huoneesta huikeat näkymät järvelle. Ravintolan ruokalista oli hyvin suoppea, aamupala hyvä ja kaikki toimi. Henkilökunta erittäin mukavaa.

We enjoyed our 2 nights here. Great to have free parking and a washing machine. We also cooked and liked the fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the water hot. We enjoyed the living room and could spread out.

Took this trip in late November, when days are rainy, gloomy, and short, but the experience was one of a kind. Strolling through the forest I was amazed at how green everything was, all covered in moss and ferns, almost like a fairy tale. I would definitely visit it again any time of the year.
