Hyvää: Huoneen mukavuus
Very good place for the price and location. We had a no-window room in the basement which was perfect as there was very little noise and it kept nice and cool despite outside temps being around 30 C. And the aircon worked very well too when we needed it. Location is fantastic for getting around London. Several tube stations nearby, overground just across the street and a dozen busses stopping on the street. The hotel and service isn't up to 4 stars but then neither is the price. The hotel needs little repairs here and there, cleaning is subpar and the most importantly, the wifi is broken. And in the basement there is no phone service either, so if my boyfriend wasn't so good with tech, we would've been totally screwed without any internet inside the hotel.

Ilmastointi pauhasi liian kovalla, huoneessa oli erittäin kylmä ja vaikea nukkua. Ilmastointia ei saanut itse pois päältä. Pieni vessa oli ahdas. Laukkuteline oli rikki. Pieni huone ja suuret sängynreunat aiheutti sen että polvi tuli lyötyä jatkuvasti sängyn kulmaan. Sängyt aivan liian korkealla.

Hotellin henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja hotellin ravintolan kokki teki erinomaista ruokaa! Huone oli siisti ja sopivan kokoinen, tosin melko heikosti äänieristetty ja sänky ei ollut kovin pehmeä. Yleisesti ottaen olimme kuitenkin hyvin tyytyväisiä palveluun ja viihdyimme hyvin :)

Palvelu ystävällistä ja henkilökunta muutenkin mukavaa. Lähellä metro- ja bussipysäkit. Huoneessa huonohko äänieristys, viereisestä huoneesta ja käytävästä puhe kuului huoneeseemme. Sänky nitisi ja natisi ja ikkuna likainen.

Hyvä hotelli viikon shoppailu matkalle
Hyvä hotelli majoittumiseen.Aamiainen monipuolinen ja mahdollisuus tilata lisäksi englantilainen aamiainen Huone pieni , mutta kuitenkin hiljattain uusittu. Henkilökunta ystävällistä. Yhteydet hyvät kulkea metrolla ja junalla.Lähellä pieniä kauppoja. Huone rauhallinen, e häiritsevää meteliä.

Hotellihuone oli sopivan kokoinen ja sänky oikein hyvä. Valitettavasti huone oli melko kylmä tammikuussa vaikka lämmitystä sääti. Wifi toimi yhtä päivää lukuunottamatta hyvin. Aamupala olisi voinut olla vieläkin kattavampi, mutta oli kuitenkin maistuva. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä vaikka sekoilivat tosin lentokenttätaksin hintaan liittyen lähtöpäivänä.

The restaurant is no longer (was it ever?) part of the hotel. The room with a window is down steps past laundry and looks out at a brick wall. The flat screen TV was attached in a fairly rudimentary way to the wall. There was no tea in the room - just coffee. The bed was fine.

Dear Aleksis, Thank you for your review. The restaurant is still very much a part of the hotel and all guests can enjoy a 15% discount off of Chaiiwala products. We had a temporary issue with our tea bag supplier due to a national shortage. This has now been fixed. In the meantime, we were offering guests open teabags (as in not individually wrapped) but these were only available at reception due to hygiene reasons. I am very sorry you were not informed about this.

Do not recommend this hotel at all
The room in the basement was a nightmare to get to. There was no indication when making the booking that it was not easy to access for my elderly mother. Whilst there a customer complained about the bed sheets not having been changed which was similar of our experience. Our room was just below an air handling unit which kept starting and stopping all night making sleeping near on impossible. I do not recommend this hotel at all especially if you're elderly, have lots of bags, don't have great mobility or aren't fit

Satisfaisant mais pas chaleureux
Très bon hôtel, nous avons été très content de la chambre, propre, et confortable. Malheureusement pas assez isolé on entend tout les voisins, et l’accueil n’était pas du tout chaleureux. Les employés sont sur leur téléphone et même pas un bonjour.

Not too bad
Overall it was an ok stay, bathroom had a horrible sewer smell and there was a dirty cup on the bin in there when we got in the room and there were also hairs in the shower tray. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and the cushion was rock hard.

Il peggior hotel dove abbiamo alloggiato... 4 stelle rubate. La prima notte bagno allagato alle tre di notte per rottura condutture... Cambio camera... Rumorosissima per via di un climatizzatore esterno che sembra un trattore... Ricambio camera... Puzza nei corridoi... Bagno scomodissimo in tutte le camere, unico asciugamano a persona... Camera mai rifatta per via della cattiva organizzazione dello staff... Prese assenti vicino ai comodini. Una notte suona l'allarme antincendio all'una di notte senza motivo e la mattina seguente niente acqua calda... Personale NON poliglotta come vantato dall'hotel... Pulizia generale scarsa. Unico pro la posizione, vicino ai mezzi e ai servizi generali... Esperienza da incubo.

Das Hotel sah auf den Fotos sehr gut aus,dass wars aber auch schon. Unebenheiten unter dem Teppich im Flur so dass man fast fällt.Im Badezimmer blätterte die Farbe an Türrahmen und der Decke ab.Das Silikon in der Dusche war teilweise schimmelig. Es gab keine WC Bürste. Das Fenster des Zimmers war mit einer äußeren Scheibe die sich nur schwer hochschieben ließ, und einer inneren Scheibe die sich kaum zur Seite schieben ließ.Das Holz der Fenster war durch die Feuchtigkeit schimmelig. Das Bettzeug war zwar sauber,wenn man allerdings den Bezug geöffnet hat war das Bettzeug darin schmuddelig gelb von Schweiß. Die Dame die uns eingecheckt hat war sehr nett,aber wiederkommen werden wir trotzdem nicht.

Hotel was disappointing, three pillows on a double bed then told there are no extra pillows. Sink was blocked and when I reported it I was told that the maintenance guy would be there later on?! Hotel room was smelly and smelt like drains. It appeared that staff are aware of the low budget dirty hotel however they were polite and accommodating.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This is the 3rd time i’ve stayed here and this was by far the worst. You walk into the reception to an overwhelming smell of urine, i’m guessing there is a toilet nearby. The shower was dirty, the tv channels kept changing by itself. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, the tap in the bathroom was loose and felt like it was gonna fall off the counter at anytime. The receptionist who checked me in, helped herself into my room while i was undressed When i confronted the manager he was not very receptive of my concerns, said he would speak to her and walked off. I asked for a call back with an explanation which has not happened. The hotel is also not answering the phone to me.

I’m sure all the rooms are not like this but ours smelt like damp mould. There was mould all around the room and window would not open to get fresh air. I attempted to email to sort this out however no reply.

The entrance to the hotel was nice and welcoming. We were on the basement floor which was dark and dreary, and very very loud. Room condition overall okay, many dings and marks in the walls and furniture. Needs a lick of paint. Walls extremely thin can hear next door make a cup of tea. Bathroom lights very dark. 2 lights did not work, one flashed like in a bloody rave. Flush very weak had to press it a few times to flush anything. Shower was nice but the shower screen did nothing and flooded the room. Mattresses are comfortable however only get one, very very thin pillow so not comfortable. During the night every night there was a constant beeping/ringing coming from outside the room somewhere, maybe above, sounded as if a fire door or something was left open so the beeping was to alarm, but it never stopped. Terrible

Our room was dirty, toilet seat was loose, shower tray was dirty, tower rail was very dusty, floor was uneven and a trip hazard, only two pillows on the bed for two adults, dead spider on the wall, room generally not clean, air con was not working and we were unable to open the window- Room was extremely hot at night.

This was an average hotel, would call it more of.a budget hotel. Needed a bit of a tidy up, our room still had confetti from a party or something on the floor. The bedding had holes in it, bedding was more of a single quilt on a double bed. We complained twice but nothing was done.

Not an enjoyable stay to say the least
When arriving at the hotel, i was told that my payment had already been taken out of my account. I did not authorise this, as i was intending to pay cash when i arrived. My friend and i were given two rooms, one on the fourth floor one on the 1st. Not what we wanted. The room.131 was practically impossible to find. No signs to help. My room 404 had not been cleaned properly as the shower plug was jammed (and i mean jammed) with long hair. And made me feel sick. We had a smoke alarm.go off where someone had been smoking. So all in all this was the worse experience i have had booking with your company.

This is not a 4 Star Hotel. Be warned
My stay at the Maitrise was not a good experience. Firstly, when I arrived I had to wait 5-6 minutes before anyone appeared at the reception desk. When I made a comment, the young lady started to argue about the time and was insistent it was only 2 minutes. That’s not the point. I shouldn’t have to wait. On check out( 7.58am the following day) there was again no one on reception. The room I was allocated (115) was very scruffy with a lot of marks on the walls, marks on the bathroom mirror and the toilet wasn’t cleaned properly with dried urine stains on the toilet basin. The light switches by the bedside don’t work, and to switch them off you have to get out of bed, which seems to defeat the objective To add insult to injury, the full amount was taken from my credit card on the 15th September and a further £123.30 taken on the day of departure (21/9) . I have queried this second amount as it is unlawful for this payment to have been taken and Hotels.com contacted The Maiteise only to be told by the manager that it hasn’t been taken (I have illustrated the payment through my credit card bill). Overall, for the amount paid, the experience was really poor. I am not sure how the Maitrise Hotel has achieved a 4 Star status as it really doesn't represent the condition of the rooms or the service offered

Great location. Good price
The hotel was kelt very clean . the air conditioner was not very good my room was hot . also there were fleas in the room. I saw a small black bug jump from the bathroom floor and was on my chest waking up. I got bites on my throat and ears as i coverd my whole body in a track suit amd long socks and my hear was exposed. I work in pest control and just was staying to sleepmand head out early each mornong of my stay so the accompadations were perfect and the location to transit and where i needed to be in the city was ideal. The front desk was kind and and made check in and out very easy. Hotel was very clean and was very affordable.

The location was great. The staff were helpful. There was a loud noise in my room all night. It sounded like the drains or AC unit. The noise was very loud.

A particular staff in the evening shift would not change the room that had problem allowing me stay at a smelly room for 5 days. If it were not the short circuit issue in the room on the last day, I wouldn’t be changed to a more airy room at the same floor. The remaining of the staff, mainly female staffs were very nice, including the cleaning ladies. However my overall stay was ruined by this evening staff who was rude and lazy.

Standard of the room not 4 star unfortunately.
I do feel the room was not to the standard that I would have expected from a hotel of this calibre. There were marks on most of the walls and bathroom door, the bathroom had excess limescale throughout especially in the shower cubicle, there was a big stain on the carpet as you entered the room and overall the room was lacking in cleanliness and not to the expected standard I would have expected from a 4 star establishment.
