”This is the largest, and probably best hotel right in Nevada City, on the main street. But it is far enough from any live music venues not to be bothered. A beautifully restored/refitted old brick nineteenth century hotel. I would definitely stay there again in Nevada City. That said, it does not have 21st-century innovations like TV or swimming pools! But if you want old-timey Gold Country charm, I recommend it. The hotel restaurant is good, too. And the staff was professional ”

”This property is really a hidden gem of a hotel. The rates are very reasonable and the area around the hotel is beautiful. The property even has a natural waterfall and a fern grotto which is extraordinary. The rooms are older but very clean and well maintained. Also the beds are very comfortable. The room also has a small refrigerator and microwave. All in all this is a place you should really consider. I know i would definitely come back. ”

”I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. ”
