I had gotten in at 4:30 am, which was a late check in.
I had informed the facility ahead of time that I would have a late check in. I got a text back from
1 320) 302-6703 saying it wouldn’t be a problem and it would be noted. I arrived after a 6 hour drive from California for a soccer tournament and the front doors were locked, I called from the outside phone and no one answered. I knocked hard on the door a few times and finally someone came out. I told her I was there to check in and she said there are no check ins after 3 am. I told her I had already informed the facility that I was going to check in late. She gave me a bit of a hard time, she was not understanding or welcoming. I told her I was exhausted and i had a text from the facility telling me it would be noted. I showed her the text. She looked at her computer screen and asked for my credit card. I don’t know if she was tired too, but it was the most uncomfortable interaction. She gave me a room on the 2nd floor that smelled like whoever was in there before me burnt something bad. It overtook the room, I was too tired at that point to complain, but the smell was so strong I couldn’t sleep properly.
Prior to this whole interaction, I thought I was going to have a great experience because whoever was texting me prior to me checking in at the number above was very kind and communicative, that’s the only reason I gave a 3 star, otherwise it would have been a zero.
