” Booked this property last minute, got on a flight down there, took a taxi to the property only to find out they canceled the reservation. I never received any notification and it took me contacting them to have them tell me they cancelled it. Here we stand, a family of 5 with no place to stay. Had to take a taxi back to the airport and get booked on the soonest flight back home. I would not recommend staying here, and Expedia was no help either, all they said was “sorry for the inconvenience”. ”

”Property is gorgeous and easy to move about and enjoy the properties many pools and restaurants. Not sure if preferred was fully worth the price because the roof pool and restaurant although cool not much to see from up there. Beach was nice but don't come if you really want a beautiful beach. Rooms are the crem de la crem and have wonderful appointments. The drinks are a little on the weak side as I wasn't getting much from them. Definitely make reservations at the restaurants you want...

”The hotel area is gorgeous! There's lot's of stuff to do and beautiful paths, cenotes etc. Staff is friendly. Lots of different animals in the area.
Food was a major disappointment. Some of the menus of the restaurants on their website are from before the covid. Best food was probably the breakfast.
Its expensive to go to city center (taxi around 18dollars one way) but still i recommend to go there and eat some authentic Mexican food! Go a few blocks away from the main tourist road and you...

”The El Dorado Maroma was an overall great resort. My family of had a great trip. The resort grounds were pretty and well taken care of. The beach was amazing!
