”Great new hotel with the best location in Playa del Carmen. Room was comfortable and spacious. Beach, shops, many good restaurants very short walking distance away + big supermarket downstairs. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool is one of the best in central Playa del Carmen! For the purpose of my trip the hotel was perfect. It’s a shopping mall type of setting so not the most cozy or romantic if that’s what you’re looking for, but other than that I would recommend...

”Nice new hotel in Playa del Carmen, walking distance to restaurants, shops and beach. Rooms are comfortable with full kitchens and staff is friendly. Pool area is beautiful but it’s good to know that the rooftop has a cover over sunbeds (not best for sunbathing). One thing I didn’t like: had a room with an adjoining door to another room and could hear everything from my neighbors as if they were in the room with me. ”

”One of the most affordable hotels in the area, good option if you don’t need luxury but want safe and comfortable room. Friendly service and spacious rooftop with 2 small pools. Location is good close to the Alterna bus station and walking distance to shops, restaurants and beaches. One thing I didn’t like is the very simple lock in the room door and no latch inside for more security. Locks NEED to be better in a hotel! ”

”we stayed only 1 night. We got room on the ground floor, near reception. There was lots of noice at the night and could not sleep at all. You can hear the other hotel guests coming and going and dogs barking outside. If you are a good sleeper, this is maybe not a problem for you. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff is nice. ”

”Casa Melissa is a nice, basic hotel. The location is excellent, about 50 meters to the sandy beach and 50 metres to the main street. ”Friendly staff, my king bed room was sufficient. Smelled old, couch had mold. Check in was fine, pool and jacuzzi is not heated. All inclusive saved lots of $, lunch menu really nice dinner not great. Only keg beer. The hotel layout of the pool and beach was nice, mostly timeshare folks older crowd. 10 minutes walk to 5th Ave for shopping and restaurants. Taxi only back to Airport $100! Or ADO bus. ”
