This was my first visit to playa del carmen, so I felt like staying in a chain hotel wasn't a bad idea. This place is ok- the rooms were clean, spacious, and having breakfast included is nice, even though again, it was just ok and when it got crowded at breakfast the service couldn't keep up with having enough coffee, cups, glasses, etc. The location is good, and all the receptionists were super nice and helpful, even when it got very crowded as it was high season over new years when we were there. Our room didn't have an external window, that was a bummer. Again, it was all "ok" but not great. We didn't spend a ton of time there because we had an activity planned every day we were there. I might have felt like returning here if the price was great, but for a place that we basically just slept in, I don't feel like the value was there. Just have your expectations set appropriately if you stay here.
