Fantastic location with breakfast served to rooms
The hotel is located in an old building very close to Piazza Navona. The location couldn't be much better as most of the sights are within walking distance. There are also some really great restaurants very close by (Mimi & Coco and Cantina e Cucina deserve a mention). Breakfast is served directly to your room (it was on time every day during my visit). Very convenient! As others have mentioned, there's no lift so the hotel is not ideal if you have trouble in that regard (my Superior Single room with a balcony was on the top 4th floor, the steps do get quite steep on the two top floors). The shower stall in the single room was very cramped so that might be a challenge for some. I also had a problem with not getting hot water one day, but the reception staff fixed this after I notified them about the problem. The staff were very friendly and helpful overall. I also liked the bed (I'm a bad sleeper so this was a big plus for me). However, the sound insulation between the rooms was very bad as you can hear your neighbour's every word. If you plan to check-in late (after 10pm), make sure to contact the hotel as they will give you instructions on how to check-in by yourself (the reception is not open 24/7).

Regarding the heating, in our country there are precise rules that establish the days and times for switching on centralized heating systems. We had DeLuxe Triple room with a nice rooftop view. Our son (17years) enjoyed his private atticroom. Wonderful staircase! Friendly and helpful stuff. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Mukava kokemus
Sijainti on aivan loistava. Muita hyviä asioita: palvelu, siisteys, uniikki katto, jääkaappi ja tallelokero. Huonoja asioita: hissittömyys, homemaista kasvustoa suihkussa, ainoastaan muutamissa huoneista parveke, aamupala aika vaatimaton sekä tuli usein toivottua aikaisemmin.

Friendly staff and excellent location
Very friendly staff at the hotel and the hotel itself had a very good location. Only negative might be breakfast. Not very nutritious as white bread with ham and cheese, sugar filled yogurts, sugar coated croissants and sugar filled orange juice was served.

Malli

Saavun aina yöllä. Vastassa on maailman ihanin vastaanottovirkamies (tekee vain yövuoroa). Sydämellisen vastaanoton lisäksi hän muistaa viime kerran kohteesi ja suosittelee hintoineen ja yhteistietoineen uusia kohteita, ilmaisia kiertoajeluja yms. Muuten henkilökunta arroganttia. Huoneeseen sovittuun aikaan ja itse valittu aamiainen on kiva! Huoneessa haisee kosteusvaurio. Näin ainakin alimmassa kerroksessa. Kaipaan myös ehdottomasta oviin 'Do not disturb'-lappua. Kun olet väsynyt päivän kävelystä tai haluaisit nukkua pitempään, ei ole kivaa, että siivooja 'tunkeutuu' huoneeseen. Äänieristys on aivan mitätön, joten korvatulpat mukaan, jos aiot nukkua. Huoneessa on jääkaappi ja vedenkeitin. Vuode on hyvä ja pyyhkeitä yms on riittävästi. Kylpyhuoneessa tässä huoneessa oli suihkukaappi, mutta jokainen huone on erilainen. Kylpyhuoneessa on myös hiustenkuivain ja käsi-, että seinäsaippua. En ole ollut hotellissa kesällä, mutta suuri plussa on taatusti ilmastointi huoneessa. Lähellä paljon pieniä, loistavia ravintoloita.

Yleistä hotellista
Sijainti oli loistava. Palvelu oli ystävällistä. Yhden hengen huone on todella pieni, mutta se oli tiedossani. Huoneessa sijaitseva safety box ? oli rikki ( kansi puuttui) Ovessa ei ollut huoneen numeroa, mutta koska huoneet olivat yksilölisiä se ei haitannut, Yhteistilat, kuten aula ja aamiaishuone puuttuivat. Aamiainen toimitettiin huoneeseen etukäteen täytetyn listan mukaan. Tilaus tuli täydellisenä yhtenä aamuna kolmesta.

Luxusta pikkurahalla
Hotel Teatro pace sijaitsee rauhallisella sivukujalla lähellä Piazza Navonaa ja ylimmästä kerroksesta huoneen terassin sekä ikkunoista avautuu huikaisevan kaunis näköala yli vanhan kaupungin kattojen. Henkilökunta on kielitaitoista ja saimme loistavaa palvelua. Aamiainen tarjoillaan huoneisiin ja se on hotellin sijainnin ja henkilökunnan palveluhalukkuuden rinnalla parasta antia. Viihdyimme hotellissa jo toistamiseen eikä hissin puuttuminen ollut meille ongelma. Portaita ylimpään kerrokseen on 97 eli ei sovi kaikille mutta meidän suosikkihotelli Roomassa. Vanhan talon fiilis on säilytetty ja huoneiden sisäkatto on upea.

A lot of character as it was a theatre in the very distant past...huge beams in the ceiling..stone spiral staircase...The room was small but very functional.The hotel was very close to a small piazza and lovely shops and 5 minute walk to Piazza Navona

Convenient location for walking to main sights, located in quiet alley just off the very busy lanes around Piazza Navona. Staff great. Reception open till 11pm. Rooms are off a large stone spiral staircase, there’s no lift. Fridge in room. Showers are modestly sized but clean.

We only stayed here 1 night but it was very nice and clean. There is no elevator and our room was on the third floor so a lot of steps to climb.

PROS --Amazing location, right by Piazza Navona, but off the main streets so its much more quiet --Interesting building; the Vatican used to own and use it as a residence for visiting Cardinals starting around the 15th century --Breakfast delivered to your room! --Safe and comfortable --Staff was kind and helpful CONS --The single room design is definitely an odd stretch. It honestly felt a bit like a hovel that was shoe-horned in. --Handheld shower while standing in a bathtub with a curtain. Not a wall mounted shower. --Low ceilings --On a side street -- my taxi had a hard time finding it and the streets are uneven --At first look, the street doesn't LOOK safe. It IS safe, but you do get a feeling like this would be a good place if something bad were to happen.

I stayed here in 2018 and I'm glad I stayed here again in 2024. It's a great little funky hotel with a lot of personality. My only issue was the wifi was not very good. But I will stay here again when I'm back in Rome. It's close to so many restaurants and attractions.

Hotel is in a great location, very close to Piazza Navona. The hotel is quaint and centuries old, it does not have an elevator. Keep this in mind when packing and booking. The stairs are stone and curved and I was on the 3rd floor. I knew this booking the hotel but wanted to reiterate it. Wouldn't not stop me from booking the hotel again, it would just encourage me to pack lighter. :D

Great location. You can walk to a lot of the main sights in Rome. There is a bus stop about 5 mins away. You can see the age of the building, but the room was in great condition. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. If you purchase the breakfast, just know there is not a dining room. You schedule a time for you breakfast to be delivered to you room each morning. It’s a good selection and variety. I did not need to eat lunch any of the days I was there. The only thing about my stay that was frustrating was the wifi. It was extremely slow.

Awesome Stay!
This place is fantastic! The location is great! All of the major tourist attractions are walkable from here. There are lots of darling shops and restaurants right outside the door. Breakfast is delivered to your door everyday. The staff is warm and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again on our return trip to Rome! 😄

It is exactly what you pay for. Not exactly dirty, not exactly clean, it’s very average the only thing they don’t tell you is that some of the rooms are very high up in the building, ours was at the top floor, and it had almost 100 stairs to go up, no elevator.

Loved everything about Rome. This hotel is in the perfect location to see all the main attractions. The area it’s located in is fantastic, with lots of bars and restaurants very close by at reasonable prices. The room itself was great, but if you book a junior suite be prepared to climb a lot of steps to get to it as there is no lift! We didn’t mind this and was aware before we booked. Just a couple of issues in the room with that the shower ran cold after too much use and the tap in the bathroom couldn’t fully lift up due to the shelving which was annoying. Light bulb out in bedroom. Hence the 4 stars.

We enjoyed our stay in late October 2023. The staff was friendly. Check in was super easy. Due to my flight arriving early morning, they worked with me to get into my room early. We enjoyed the morning breakfast & cappuccino. This hotel was an easy walk to most of the things we wanted to see & do. Piazza Navona was maybe a 10 minute walk. I’m planning to go back soon. Thank you!

I loved this place. Strong WiFi. Great location. Great staff. Highly recommend. Will return. Daily housekeeping. I stayed 6 nights and never had a problem. Wonderful.

Amazing location, staff very nice, friendly and helpful. However, there are also some issues that are not immediately apparent when booking: it’s an ancient and nice building but there is no elevator. We were at the third floor (fourth in reality) and had to carry our luggage up and down. The room furniture is very old and worn out and not at all modern. For example a mirror in the room was missing. Breakfast is included but there is no breakfast room. The only way to get it is for breakfast to be served in the room

Outstanding location and value if you want to be in the Piazza Navona — this is old Rome. Cobblestones, Renaissance churches, cafes. Amazingly narrow streets with great shopping. Very clean room. Helpful, courteous staff. Other reviewers have noted there is no elevator. The hotel is an old villa with a sweeping 16th c. circular staircase. Cool but tough for heavy luggage or those not able to climb. Recommend. The airport taxi is excellent.
